WAR elves visually better than WoW elves?

Now that the elves have arrived for WAR, what do you think of visual comparison? Personally, I feel like they look tougher than the WoW elves, who look more fairyish lol. What do you think?

I took a look at the WAR sneak peak and they don't really reveal much. That said, I expect them to be more graphically advanced than WoW simply due to the fact that WAR is a much newer game. From an artistic standpoint; I don't really care tbh - I've seen hundreds of variations of elves in literature, movies, games, art.. etc... and the major differences seem to be skin tone and the size of ears
What about fat elves, or elves with 3 breasts!?
I couldn't see any animations on that site - it's the way creatures move that really defines a race imo. (which is why EQ2 and Vanguard felt so generic - with all the races using the same motion-capture animations)

Fat elves are a good point to bring up....I've never heard of an elf being fat in any literature, game, or movie. LOL.... I think that would over step the boundaries of the dwarves. and the 3 breast thing is probably never going to fly :P
I tend to not like elves, but I do like WoW's night elves, most elf characters look pretty girly, I hate the bloodelves and the girls also, they look like 13 year old schoolgirls. Night elves on the other hand look pretty cool, the males are muscular and built like warriors while the females are pretty sexy with pretty cool body animations.

I have just taken a quick look and to be honest from a purely artistic impression point of view i do prefer the elves in WoW a little more as they have an edge to them that the WAR ones don't seem to have. The WAR ones do seem to lean a little towards looking like the Blood elves in WOW, which although are the 'evil' ones do look more 'goody, goody' than the night elves.
It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
I never could connect with my hunter in WoW because I was never happy with how she looked. I know a lot of people liked them but those big ears and glowing eyes just put me off.
I've seen a couple blurry shots of the WAR elves but not much else. But from what I can see, they do seem more appealing to me.
Too early to tell really about the WAR elf models. When it hits beta I would be willing to bet that they will look different than they do now.

Not big on Elves, but I have to say, Yes they are.
WoW was released in 2004. WAR is estimated to be released in 2008, and I bet it won't make it. WAR graphics should be better.
i like the nightelves because they are quite different than your traditional "Upper class chivalrous human with long ears"
Artistically, yeah. Even if the technology is years ahead, the artistic design of WoW is just plain ridiculous to me... but that's me a lot of people love it. To each their own. For me, the look of the game was one of the biggest turn offs. WAR looks better though it still bears resemblance of the cartoonish style of WoW.

from what i've seen so far WAR elves look better than WOW elves could ever be, partly because WAR is drastically more of a realistic game while WoW is dramatically cartoony. I hope WAR will continue to impress us with their character models

I played WoW for 1,5 years... Quited month after TBC... Graphic in WoW is LOL... So yes ofc. that elves in WAR looks bether then WoW elves... Almost all games have bether graphics then wow... But WoW is best selled mmo of all times (for now).. That speak something... But im sure that soon WoW is gtoing down with player numbers... AoC, WAR ,GW2, maybie even some new BliZZard developed mmo (starcraft would be grate) will be great games...
Comparing the races is pretty pointless since WAR is brand new and WoW has seen better days graphics-wise. WoW's models, despite their simplicity, look decent for their age, especially the TBC stuff. Animation and textures add up for the blocky modeling. WAR's models, on the other hand, have more polygons and higher resolution on textures which in the end gives a better result. Blizzard put gameplay and functionality over looks back then and I think they made the right decision. Let's hope Mythic doesn't over-do it with the final product.

There are features that I like about the Elf races in WoW and things that I really hate.
Night Elves:
I like the eyes, height, muscular nature. The females get some great facial markings as well.
I dislike the oversized feet and limited hair options. While the Night Elves are apparently supposed to be more in-tune with nature... I'd still like to see their looks refined a bit.
Blood Elves:
The green eyes are great. Nice assortment of hair and face options. The females...they cause me to have improper thoughts about pixels (kidding, I promise).
The BE males look almost feminine. I really dislike that. I know Blizz did a modification to beef them up a bit just prior to TBC launch, but the stance and stature should really be looked at, imho. I think that's really my one knock vs the BE appearance... just the size and the way the males stand.
... and... I promise, I don't think bad thoughts about BE females. But after looking at Tauren, Orc, Troll, Gnome, and Dwarf fem's... I'm glad there is another relatively attractive fem race in the game.

The one thing I haven't really seen anyone talk about is the mention of graphical enhancements coming to the game.
Does anyone have any additional information about what that means? To what level is the game going to be 'graphically enhanced/improved'? It is mentioned specifically in the Lich King expansion notes. Yet I don't see many people discussing this.
don't want to offend anyone, but... anything looks better than WoW models.
But then again, it's probably just a question of personal taste.
