... after playing the beta one month ago (and yes, since it was gold, they won't have enought time to fix it)
Mr. Garriott, please, leave this game before you disappoint more high-hyped fans with this game, and make an Ultima Online 2. Specially for those who aren't old enought to have enjoyed the old Ultima Online. You have achieved a high status in this industry, so don't waste it with this.... err, game?, well, with Tabula Rasa.
And this other letter to those fans who will kill me in the next posts
A short time ago i was like you, i tried the beta (well, i almost cryed of joy when i get my pass for the beta). I confronted the hard reality of this game, i said to myself "well, it's still in beta, maybe in 6 months or so they will add the other 50% of the game and they'll tweak more things and that", then, when it was announced to be gold, i tried to like the actual game and accept that it still deserves a good position in our MMORPG list.
But after they lifted the NDA, and other betatesters started to talk about the game, my sould crashed in one thousand of pieces. They are too close to the release date and the game is almost the same when I played it.
Since that moment, i joined the side of the "Haters" of this game
PS: I really want an Ultima Online 2. The Ultima Online 1 seems a good game but the graphics and the old-fashioned interface makes me want to spit to the screen.

I assume you mean the NDA?
Anyone expecting Ultima 2 will be disappointed. Its not a skill based game its a class/level game.
So not everyone will like the game. By the same token - not everyone hates the game.
I for one find it a stable, fast, fun action rpg.
Its very solo friendly. Probably too much. Could use some more challenges to encourage people to group.
Cant comment on the pvp - its not my thing. Crafting is getting some work - which is good I was totally bewildered before.
Character customization is not as varied as other games - there is one race to play at release (humans). You get a reasonable amount of options for customizing your face. You can change your height. Dont bother with changing the starting armor/color you will have replaced it in a few levels.
I'm betatesting this game for 4 months now. I saw many changes. I saw this game 4 months ago, and I see it now.
And still like it, so it isn't so bad.
Everyone who have access to TR's beta test forums can see funny thing. There aren't so many doom and gloom topics like here.
This game, after release, won't be "WoW killer", it won't have so many players, but it won't fall also.
there was an Ultima Online 2, Ultima Worlds Online.. or somethign like that it was going to be called.... but it was caned..
then there was going to be Ultima X: Odyssey.. but that was canned as well...
So it dont look like another Online Ultima will be in the works for a while, if ever...
I like TR.. been playing the beta for a while.. It is different, and I find it fun at the moment... there are still a few rough edges, but nothing that is turning me 'off' the game...

Anyway, i hope you'll find it interesting and funny. I don't want that this game will fall like Auto Assault (another good game with a bad performance [in general, it had a good potential unexploited]).
But I won't play it, I will join Pirates of the Burning Sea instead of Tabula rasa

it was a bunch of trash in mmo world.
stupid characters, lausy balence, lag, and no fun at shooting.
You reading the same beta forums I am... or is there another site?
