    6 not bad mate!

you would of been better of going for one 8800GTS 320mb rather than two 8600GT's.

Well if a 10 represents just a "good gaming system", as you stated, then it would be a 10. However, If I was using a normal 1 - 10 scale, with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, then I would rate it around a 7. The processor and memory are pretty solid. Although not top of the line, they are definitely very good. Top of the line would be a Core Duo extreme or Core Quad extreme processor. The graphics card is really what brings the score down. Overall it's a pretty good mid-range card, but it's so far below a GeForce 8800 as far as benchmarks go. That's really gonna be the bottleneck of the system.

And the fact that it has 512mb of memory doesn't necessarily improve the performance. For example, a Geforce 8800GTS with 320mb outperforms an 8800GTS with 640mb in most benchmark tests up to a resolution of 1900x1200. Now once you start playing at resolutions higher than that, then the 640mb version starts to pull ahead. The point is, getting a card with the highest possible memory doesn't always equate to better performance. Still overall though it is a very nice system, congrats.

wait wait wait... you got 2 8600gt? dual 8600gt in SLI mode? ok thats a plus I will give it a 7 instead of 6. but still 2 soso graphic card in sli mode is.... again soso.

    7.

It is not worth SLIing 2 lowend graphics cards when you can buy 1 highend.

4 you overpayed.  If I had 1300 I can build a Quad Core System running on an 8800 GTS with a 22" HDMI Monitor.

6 i'd say pretty stable system for the majority of games altho the graphics cards are pointless witch lowered the score but be able to play most games without a problem
