You'll be able to run it fine with that PC, but not every option on max.

Well thats good news for me , but just answering... What else i need to run it for MAX graphics ?

If you are going to run Vista, do not get a 7xxx series video card, It doesn't have DX10 support. It will be a waste of money to use anything less.

EQ2 are heavy on CPU and RAM. Without it you may have some performance issues. Your setup seems for me to be sufficient for EQ2 in my eyes. When I bought my new rig, I did run with 2GB + Vista. After 2 weeks I upgraded the ram to more. My usage with EQ2, Vista and background applications (winamp, act, firefox, etc..) did use more than 2 GB (in Win XP 2GB was more than enough).

About graphic card, I would go for something that supports dx10 too, since you are going for Vista. What I didn't understand that you first sets a 7xxx card in one price range and compare it to 8600 which are in a completely different price range (50%-60% of the price of your first suggestion). I would suggest looking at the 8800 GTS card, based purely on the price range and DX10 support. Don't trust me 100% on this issues, since I'm not a gfx card expert

Another thing I noticed in my usual pc equipment shop was that the 7950 cards are removed from the stock (replaced with newer version).

The Geforce 8800 cost abouth $300.00 and i think thats too much in compares for the Geforce 8600 that is like 150- 180 dollars

Does the GeForce 8600 GTS Fits well ?

I'd get a Sapphire Radeon X1950PRO instead of 8600gts.... more bang for the buck.
