why does mmorpg.com have so many users?

theres lots of other forums across the net and gaming sites but they dont have the amount of users on their forums and registered like this place does. What makes this place so different???

Other than that, I would say it has something to do with the long list of game specific forums.
I can only answer for myself:
-one place for most MMO related news. No other site has that much info on a such small part of the gaming industry.
-Lots of users make it interesting for the gaming companies to use mmorpg.com as an advertising channel, therefore you get intervjus, screeshots, videos etc. all in one place. And yea I am to lazy to browse the thousend other websites that provide more information but dont devote themself to MMOs. I dont care about single player or console games.
-You have moderators that actually do moderate.
It has the perfect name "MMORPG". When looking for infomration on this genre, MMORPG is the first and most logical word to type in any search engine and "MMORPG.com" will be first on this list and this website it actually a good source of information for all MMOs so most people will probably bookmark this page. That's how I found this site.
Used to be 3 online games portal I go to but these days, I only come here and another one. I am not going to advertised which other I hang out and I also dunno how many members there coz they did not state it out like here. I like the Features here, it's pretty good
I used to go on the chat room here a bit too but not much these days.
Actually there are only 18 people on the site, but since we can make toons, bots, and alts, we each have 36,000 sign-ins to farm beta keys, snag free trials, sway reviews, and persuade game developers to make the games how we want them.

Like it was said earlier, this site is spesialized for only one game genre, mmorpgs. Here are players from every commonly known roleplaying game, and this site also offers possibilities get to know wide range of new games and players anytime.
This site has grown so big that it can be considered as King of the all mmorpg related sites.
Some people like to make multiple accounts so that they can do mass voting on there favouraate game.

Also, for many of us, b!tching about MMOs on MMO forums is more fun than actually playing them, at this time...

general mmorpg community covering many mmorpgs, people make accounts to vote or to enter the prize thingy, and there is always a high number of members to actual members who post on any forum.

To enter the giveaways you have to have an account. I believe that is the primary reason the membership numbers are so high.
I originally came to this site for its comprehensive list of MMOGs to play. I stayed here because I enjoyed the coverage.
It is sad but true
/agree. I come here solely to chat in the pub. I go to other sites for actual information about certain games.
People find one spot and like to stick with it. MMORPG.com is a good site.
