what mmo has the best BOW USER? I mean what mmo has best bow user character?

I think it has to be Lineage II hands down. Both the Silver Ranger and Hawkeye are two of the most powerful characters in the game both in a group and solo. They're also good from the beginning all the way to end game as far as I could tell. I took a Silver Ranger absolutely as far as it could go and loved every minute of it.
Yeah L2 rangers do kick ass.. and so do hunters in WoW, though WoW is cartoony and not as badass as L2 will be.
However it is inevitable that you will be grinding most of the time you play L2.
City of Heroes has a good archery class, as well as Guild Wars, CABAL has a really sweet one if you like Sci Fi.

DAoC has a good stealth bow user and WoW has a pet bow user.

Don't sell the Phantom Ranger short either. I played all 3 Bow user classes but preferred my PR just because of the pure damage output they have over the other bow classes. People who played L2 will tell you that the Bow user that they preferred owns all but actually all 3 are pretty balanced. The SR has superior Dex which gives them speed and crits so they move and shoot the fastest. The HE has superior Con which gives them more HPs so they can take the most abuse. The PRs have superior Str so they have the most average damage so they hit hard without needing to rely on crits so much. It's pretty much all boils down to play style. I always play bow users in all the MMOs I've played and out of them all Lineage 2 was the best hands down. In L2 Bow users have almost the same damage output as nukers so they are very effective in both PvP and PvE. My PR was also the only Character I had in L2 that was still able to solo effectively all the way up into the 70's as most classes but Bow users and Nukers become group dependent after level 50-60.

I've had bow users in AC, AC2, L2, DAoC, WoW (actually a rifle) Vanguard, GW and tried one in EQII...(I think thats it)
The liked Lineage 2 bow user the best (I forgot which one, the human class) followed by GW. The animations and the combat seemed to flow the best.
I also liked the DAoC midgard hunter back in the day. No real reason, I just did although his actual bow skill was the weakest of any bow user I ever run across I like his heavy spear / pet skill use. DAoC was also my second MMO after AC so I was pretty impressed with it at the time as AC was graphically weak compared.

I too like the Hunter in LOTRO. It is a nuking class as I imagine archery should be. I hated the bow use in EQ1 where it took dozens of arrow and kiting to bring down a foe.
Also, for something really different, I kinda liked using a bow in DDO. You actually had to aim the bow sort of like Oblivion. But you'll also need a group (which sort of makes sense).

Well put. I miss the good times playing SR :P such a great game..
I have to say I liked my Silver Ranger in L2 and both my Ranger and Hunter in DAOC all about equally. Each was very fun in their own way. Didn't care so much for WOW;s hunter, but mostly because there were so many of them...and not because it wasn't a nice class to play.

If you had ask that question before the bow revamp in daoc ,I would probably have said L2 or WoW, but since the revamp, the scout/ranger/hunter are so fun to play I have to go with this one, cold shot, fire shot, stealth , crit shot, etc etc , Do very well solo and can group
SRs hit like a girl.
eq2's rangers were awesome bow users, some of the bows thAT WERE from quests or raid drops were killer

DDO , aiming your shots is just cool.
But doacs are probly my second fav.

Of the bow classes, I had the most fun with hunters in World of Warcraft. Second to that would be City of Heroes natural blaster (samuari bowman). The worst would be Everquest. Not only is it boring, but 9 out of 10 times you can't see your arrow. Then when you do it's going the wrong way or stops by for a visit going sideways in front of a character's face.
