Europeans have had to wait 3+ months just to get into WoW beta, even with a chance now. Not content with getting in 3 months before the rest of the world now americans want to join the european beta test to 'test the servers out'. Of course people will try and do it, but i find it highly insulting and believe some people just plain pig ignorant that they will sign up for a european beta trying to steal a place that some poor european WoW fan may have gotten..
You all whinge and moan when europeans try and enter america beta, so why shouldnt we do the same. At least uve had your chance... Now give us our chance.
I doubt that tho, im sure some script kiddies will be signing up lots anyways ^ ^.

i checked out the forms, and there was select a country that u live in, and usa was included, but u have to answer all these questions about euroes and stuff

Well, if it wern't for the Americans, that poor European wouldn't have even had the chance in the first place. No harm in waiting. I don't see any European companies making any games. I wish they did though. :[

thats a european one, and guess what when it went beta all americans where complaining europeans got in first (mainly the french as nevrax is a french developer). So meh :P

Oh Please ... even if they do check on IP origin or other small neat tricks, it would be SO easy to hide where you're really from.
But lemme ask, do you think theres a reason why they had the beta split up, or would there be some reason behind their desicision, in other words .. if your not from eu ... keep out, for the best result.

Well yes you can sign up, they might not accept you for one reason or another though. I guess I dont really care if I cant understand the people im playing with as long as im playing, thats all that matters .

Lol my ancestors are from europe too. Back to the question, of course you can sign up for it. If you succeed in getting into the beta really I tell you, you are one lucky bastard lol. If not and you get caught in the act, hehehehehehehehe....
Hey Gaeria84 do you think they can find out your IP? I wasnt sure if they could or not. That would be the only way they could stop someone I think. Unless they can read minds, thats another way.
they have ip checks in place to stop people from signing up multiple times, but as mentioned before this could be easily got around.
Although it would slow down that type of person in signing up plus stop the noobs who dont know how to change their ip using proxies.
I think the reason why we are seperated (I am english so there is no reason why an english person and an american should have language difficulties... yet anyways) is because of the ping difference. Those playing far from the servers will have very large pings regardless of their connection.
For example a ping of 200-250 is acceptable in an mmorpg, but if u was in america connecting to an EU server you would prob get pings in the range 400-500.

thanks for all your posts. i saw on WoW forums that there was a list of countries allowed the euro beta and the united states was one of them, i also saw on warcraft 3 for us east server they have a WoW beta signup link on the top of the screen (for any of you that play warcraft 3 you should see this if your on us east or west servers). so im assuming americans will be allowed to play in the euro WoW beta. more comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Bah, the whole thought is molested. Think og giving the euro guys a break since they could not get inot ours. Anyways I know that with some tweaking you can get around IP tracking but the fact is if your not too good at it you might wanna think twice about pissing of blizzard GM's. As with other online games blizzard may decide to make a blacklist of bad cheater IP addresses banning them from servers. I doubt you will even be allowed to accept a beta if you already have your IP in blizzards records. And if its anything like the WC3 servers on BNet then ur gonna be a lil slow with ur connection accross the seas.
