Though you can argue about how good the game is, at least they are trying to fix as much as possible before going live. I think it makes for a better community. Hopefully AoC and WAR are doing the same.

most companies have learned not to have crap on release.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

Or push the whole project out a damn window..

Talk about being dissapointed, all I could say to myself was "This has been in development for 5+ years??!!?.."

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

I see no reason for them to do this. The core of the game is solid. Nice interface layout, good immersive storyline, adequate game content, and potential staying power. It also has really good combat action. I like that they pushed it back. Regardless, I really like this game and hope it continues to improve.

I shall say this.  If they are truly making those improvements as stated on their post, then super and wonderful.  But, unfortunately they pushed it back 1 month.  Will that be enough time to create the needed improvements?  The track record I have seen once devs begin moving things forward, is it seems to become an epidemic of fear.  Since the Sigil debacle of February, 2007,  game corporations have been somewhat stymied as to releasing games.  My only thought here is this.  NCSoft needs to look at release calendars for upcoming games and slot that release properly.

November 11th is just in time for Christmas shopping, isn't it?

Not sure what people hate this game for.  It's fun, has decent immersion.... I've only been in the beta a few days now but I will say this:

Only 3 or 4 other games have been 'fun' enough for me to play for over 2 hours at a time and totally lose track of the time I am playing.

Now, I know there are some who will say that 'it gets old later on' and I will admit that is entirely possible.  But right now?  I'd have to say that the game is quite fun.  It may or may not be exactly what people were hoping for.  But if you go into it without any preconceptions (me) it stands very well on it's own two feet.  I LIKE that it's not a true FPS and I like that it isn't a full-on 'sit back and click attack' MMO either.  It's a nice blend of SOME FPS elements and SOME RPG elements.

Actually.... if I had to peg a game that it 'feels' like.... I'd have to say it feels similar to Anarchy Online... but more fun and a bit less complex.

    a BIT less complex?

this has to be one of the understatments of the year.

TR is so unbelievably simple as to be 'intellectually challenged' (can't say retarded anymore, it's not politically correct)

the skill tree is barren, so what did they do? cut down on the number of available skill points so you can't really flesh a char out properly, and, in the process, made it really easy for them to gimp existing chars, forcing people to re-roll, start over, and hope that *this* time, their chars won't get gimped again
