purchasing code online...... helphelphelp!

in City of Heroes

iv been told that u can purchase the cd-key online and then download the game without having to buy the CD itself. why cannot i see this in my account management ?

its supose to say "Purchase Code" next to the game but i dont see this, help !

    I don't think you can buy the cd key online anymore. There was a special time for pre-order people to get a key to start the pre-order 3-day head start. Some people lived in areas that would have to up to 2 weeks or maybe more for their game to arrive. The button that allowed you to buy one might still be in the site somewhere that can be hard to get. I suggest you send an e-mail to support@cityofheros.com or the official forums here: https://boards.cityofheroes.com/ubbthreads.php

    You can still buy it!

    I bought it just 2 days ago online. Go to the official website. It links you to PlayNC website. There you can register and then download and buy the key.

    Very easy and the cheapest way of playing this game.

    I was told by support that only people outside North America are given the option to buy the cd-key online, and even then its only specific countries.

    Anyone able to tell me what countries those might be?

    .. and as i said i bought it from the adress i gave above. Its the official adress of COH.

    Why don't you just register as living in the Netherlands and then buy the key and download the game from the site?

    Ok ill just explain how to do it :) here it comes

    1) Go to https://secure.plaync.com/

    2) Register a account there

    3) Login in to the account

    4) Now you have a screen. Scroll trough it and you'll see the option "buy a serial code" click that one

    5) Do not select store or buy a game

    6) In the same screen you can now download the game

    7) When downloaded go to the same screen again and click the option to add a game

    8) fill in the code

    9) done :)

    hmmm i dont see Buy Serial Code all i see is "Activate"

    i can see cityu of heroes there and lineage 2 because i was in BETA for them. i used to see the purchase code button, but i cant see it anymore image

    Weird, i still see it. Even now, after registering it. I can also still get a key for Lineage 2.

    are you guys sure you:

    registered first and are in the right login screen with the manage button etc.?

    .. maybe you should try and register as living in netherlands :)

    (and if you live in america, i dont see the point of not getting it from the shops since thats almost the same price.)

    I also do not receive the option to purchase it online, yes .. even tried setting up a new accounts with PlayNC and giving Netherlads for the location.

    Problem for me is that I am in Poland for a couple months at the end of which I am going back to Canada .. this is the only reason that I was looking at purchasing this online.

    Customer Service was no real help either, so looks like I'm going to forget about this game and get something else.
