... but every time I quit, within a month or two I get crazy urges to play it again. :P I quit about two months ago or so thinking that this would finally be the end of it, but now I am getting urges to play whenever I am sitting on the computer and not working or something. I probably would right now, but I also keep getting the feeling that there would be no point to going back, 'cause all there is in the end is rep grinding and raiding that I'll probably never be able to do because I can never get into a guild that can do it. PvP is alright, but gets boring after about an hour.
I really wish WAR or AoC or something were out now so I could hopefully move on to one of them, but blah, gotta keep waiting.
Oh well... plus it looks like they didn't add anything all that great in the latest patch, but I guess the built-in voice chat should make it easier for all guilds. Now they will no longer have to buy vent servers or anything or say that they have it in their guild spams.

For me its the story line that keeps me playing it.
I have the same thing with 'Eve' to be honest, but i know that if i go back i will realise again all too fast that i won't have the time to dedicate to it and end up leaving again .
It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
is it just me or does this game get insanely borring when u don't have friends playing with you?? i kno this game would be a complete failure if it wasn't a MMO... I admit this game has a ton of quests and stuff but honestly it's not good unless u have other people playing with you and have the capability to make friends easily... Good thing for me I have a ton of friends who play this or else i would be completely disappointed! haha

It's just you. For me its the game. Friends are friends in or out of game but if the game cant keep me engaged I wont pay for it. I dont pay per month to make friends I pay per month to play a good online game that has more than just your average online game. If the only reason your playing the game is because your friends do I would quit.
I have quit wow a few times and came back mainly because I was bored one night and decided hell lets level something up. Don't worry about it just have fun with it its only a game and a damn good one but to many server shards so players are way thinned out.

btw your looking for something else to come out and quench that taste for the ultimate gaming action? Have a look at Hellgate London it's right around the corner and it looks like the next best thing in gaming.
Gajari,
Just remember that the WoW expansion model is to forever upgrade year after year. Making prior raiding and all content worthless. Do not support a game where they make previous content obsolete so quickly! Fight the urge!
mmh i wonder when WoW2 will be out??
when i get the urges to play wow again it's usually wanting to fight the 7 again, or archades, or ubrs. All the new content is rather forgettable in my opinion. Every time I think how I'd like to go back to BRD I just think to myself about how I'd have to solo it with a 70 or spend hours looking for a group with level appropriate players that will probably leave halfway through or take 2 minutes in between pulls and then I think to myself, yeah fuck that game. It'd be neat to have a private server (modified so that CastSpell works in addons again) and just play with some RL friends of mine but that's kind of not legal, plus there's only 4 of us so it's not that fun with 4.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
if I were to kill a titan tomorrow and no CCP employees showed up to say grats I would petition it.
Waiting for: the next MMO that lets me make this macro
if hp < 30 then CastSpell("heal") SpellTargetUnit("player") else CastSpell("smite") end
lawls my feeling as well. I loved the fact we had all this tier 2 and 3 gear then when the expansion hit even the most basic of mob drops we're twice as good as the epic gear we spend weeks, months, years trying to aquire. There we're many other reason for my departure but this was the kicker. Yeah, thanks Blizzard for making BRD absolutly worthless.

Shouldn't have gotten the expansion then.
I don't know if they still make Corollas, but my first car was a 1982 Toyota Corolla. Of course, when I got a new car I didn't complain about the car companies making new, better cars.
Damn Toyota...if only they STILL made 1982 Corollas...
That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!
Its simple, love or hate WoW, there just sint any game currently released that comes close. WoW offers a lot of things to a lot of people. There just is no getting around it. Even with all the hype on the release of Aoc and WAR, WoW will still have more. Will take a while before any MMORPG gets as big as WoW is now.
..and WoW has Mr T
Torrential
Torrential: DAOC (Pendragon)
Awned: World of Warcraft (Lothar)
Torren: Warhammer Online (Praag)
Do what I did, disenchant your UBER epics and delete your character.
Live happily ever after
isnt that true for ALL MMO's?
As to the OP's issue, he needs to look at why he leaves the game in the first place. If nothing's changed, then it doesn't make sense to keep going back....
That's what finally convinced me to leave it all behind a year ago.....
