No matter how much I enjoy diplomacy, it's a good thing they gonna delay it. The game needs first to focus on finishing last bits of performance issues and optimalization to re-release and open the trial isle.
I think this may be my first post even though I joined a few months ago.
Diplomacy is not going away or being removed from the game. I've personally spent many hours playing it and I would love to see it integrated more into the world of Telon. APW is actually a good example of the start of that.
However it is true that the diplomacy guys are not currently working on new content. Aruspex is replacing our unoptimized NPC's in the cities with new optimized NPC's which will greatly improve frame rate for all players and Linear_core is helping out on the Thestra improvements. There is a thread on the main boards about it under gameplay.
They will be coming back to diplomacy at some point, but for the time being, they are taking a break and helping out in other areas. At the very least they need to put the new tier 5 Diplomacy clothing in that art just finished.
We are making a concentrated effort to publish quality content and that requires a team effort. So as we work through various milestones, the focus will naturally move around to different areas of the game.
I'll keep checking this thread as question pop up.
Glad to see your working on squishing the bugs and helping the poor preformance. I realize this is job 1 atm. My question is.. Do you all have a time frame on the flying mounts? Had one in beta and was hella fun.. untill i crossed a chunk line ( splat ) but still it was fun!
Well, I no longer play the game, but it seems from most of the posts here that diplomacy is a feature enjoyed by a lesser percentage of the player base, say 10% maybe? If true, it make sense to reassign developers from this team to other areas that concern almost every player, such as performance and stability and return to features like Diplomacy later on.

I read somewhere that the total number of players who are lvl 50 in all three spheres is exactly: Six. And the number of diplomats goes down very fast the higher level you look (About... 60-ish diplomats at lvl 50 I think...). Getting 50 diplo is a real feat, from what I heard, and only for those who really *really* (obsessively) love diplomacy. More people like adventuring. Or, like me, more people like adventuring more than diplomacy, maybe
The title of this topic is a tad misleading btw. "Paused" would be better
Now playing: City of Heroes/Villains, Age of Conan

No, its the sphere with the least bugs There is not as much cleanup and fixing needed then in the adventurer sphere. I never crashed and never encountered a bug while doing it. There is a very vital diplo community.
The DEVs are on a heavy job to make this game ready for a humble mini-relaunch. Stater areas got a ninja cleanup, now the DEVs are asking on the forums for feedback on the low T2 Thestra areas (Thestra has the highest population of all continents) They have their act together it seems. Just not enough people to do it fast(er)
Its not official, just my opinion, but its obvious that they want to catch a bit of christmas holydays business.

Looks like we are still going to have to wait quite a while for those flying mounts, even though they are printed right on the damn box as a feature.
