I was addicted to SWG.  It was the first MMO I ever played and still think earlier features made the game better then others I've played since.  I liked the player housing(and decorating), pvp, bounty hunting player jedi,  the guild design, and crafting was the best I've seen yet in mmo's.  After Jump to Lightspeed it went downhill and then the combat upgrade destroyed my spirit altogether.  After a few beta mmo's, I became  addicted to WoW.  I quickly made a 60 rogue and Warlock, and later a 60 mage/priest.   I was really addicted to the pvp, weapons, and guild raids/instances. The crafting was kinda lame-o, and no player housing, was a turn off as well.   In my opinion SWG was more addicting in it's early stages then anything else yet.

Burnt out on WoW. Loved SWG till SOE ruined it after JTLS. EQ2 isn't that great for crafting. What's next??

No game had ever made me fallen

  • Only game i ever got addicted to would be WOW.  I got addicted becuse it was my first MMO ever and i some how got in an end game guild.  Had the best gear out of any of my friends that played, so that probley got me addicted to.  But when the guild broke up after 2 years and TBC was coming i decied to sell my account and find a new MMO.  2 years of Hardcore endgame PvE in wow  will  make alot of people quit.

I can remember playing Neocron way into the early hours many times.  I started playing in March 2003 and played almost up to the server wipe that led to Neocron2.  In its day it was an amazing game and even had a few clans that role played!

Long live the good old days!!

I don't know whether I was addicted in this game. I have ever play WOW every 5 hours each day, and lasted for more than 9 months, then finally I gave up and back to my normal life.

Shadowbane, until WAR comes out.  Its cool and its free. GFX are a little dated but still decent.

The only online RPG that I was ever able to play more than a few hours is Star Quest Online. The graphics are seriously early 1990's but the depth is insane. The fact you actually have to interact with real people all the time makes it just like a pen and paper RPG without all the paperwork.

Try 2 characters with over 80+ days played in WoW. And a whole nuch of other characters

    Or my 58000min UO character.

Or my lvl 74combat, with avg of 70 in crafting skills

Or my lvl 180 Bmage in Helbreath :((( (Almost 3 years, no playtime recorded)

I would say SWG, and actual only SWG. Even if my EQ2 play time is about the same, I can't really say I'm addicted the same way I was to SWG.

Edit: Don't want to call it a mmorpg, but I was really addicted to a web browser game called planetarion, which I'm just real glad I'm over.

the only game that truely got me hooked was FFXI, i think that becuas e 1) i had alot of time on my hands during Highschool 2) my bro 2 of his friends and 5 of my friends all got into it round a 4-5month gap. 3) it had the FF tag....me and my buddys are huge FF fans 4) it made u interact w/ the community so u made alot of friends (and some enemys) wich gave it some drama and amazing/intresting times. it felt more like a mass group effort to do things, though it was super heavy on group everything(wich at times was a apin in the ass) i still loved it. nowadays ive tryed everything from lame ass wow/eq2/vanguard(wich dont run on my PC)/20 diffrent F2P titles and  nothing has stuck ot me nearly as fast or heavy as FFXI has. sience a couple ppl i know are gunna get into Warhhamer online, and seeing as it will be a major change of pace from the normal MMOs out there i think that will be my next drug, and its warhammer.

i think honestly everyone will say there first MMo they actually spent time w/. like ur first love and first everything nothing will ever compare to what came first and got u into the genre. its the first positive experiences that ul never forget and want to relive. .....mabey thats why i cant seem to get into anything recently lmao.

One game i liked playing was a mod for Quake 2 called Jailbreak. It's was alot of fun trying to free your team from jail. For a MMO, World Of Warcraft was my first MMO and it's kept me busy. Im waiting for Warhammer now.

I'm kind of ashamed to say that I've become addicted to MapleStory. I love the game. I started playing about a year ago. And I haven't stopped. lol It's a great game. IMO. The graphics are so cute (unless you get the doll face ) And I love the Cash Shop items. Wow i don't even wanna think about how much money I've spent. lol Yeah I'm addicted!!!!

Ultima Online. I am a newcomer as I have only been playing a couple months. But I love its skill based system and sandbox style. I wish I could have been there in the early days though, I hear those were the good ole days. In any case I have the game now, and I am hooked. Everquest 2 is another fave of mine. I have been playing Silkroad off and on for 2 years. I have also been playing RF Online lately, and I really dig the chip wars, its hectic, fast paced and fun.

Well, i used to play Runescape but it kinda got boring. Interesting game but with boring graphic. I play Tales of Pirates now, I just started and I find it kinda good espicially for some weak computer like mine.
