Any good if your not into ships ?

in Voyage Century Online

So I was thinking of downloading it, but is is a good game if I just want explore and lvl on land? Is a ship and sea battle the only way of having fun and getting xp? Of course I will try the ship battle but I'm more into exploring on land and having fun there + getting my ship sinked isn't my idea of fun, or is there a way to like work/battle on someone else's ship like a crew member?

    i would like to ask the same question..

    but from what i have read there is something like hook which can pull over target ship, and fight with your char and your men melee... am downloading it right now.. i hope the game is still fun without the sea battle part...

    You could concentrate your energies on farming, medicine, timber or mining, but each of those tends to be a mindless grind.  It would be possible to focus your energy solely on land battle, but you'll still need your ship to get from place to place, and to do any of the storyline quests, will include using your ship as well.  If you are leaning against using your ship, the game probably won't offer you much long term.

    You could take the grind away by spending $$$ on items via the cash shop and stand still for an hour getting your stats boosted, skipping on days worth of manual exp grind.

    That is if you have the money and don't see it as cheating.

    Ship travel plays a big part but you can still have fun on land though. No options I know of for working as crew for someone else.

    no it is impossible to work as a crew on someone elses ship

    and by the way this game takes a bit of patience, its not a "stare at the screen, both hands on the keyboard" type game, like first person shooters

       If you don´t like ships, battle, exploring, etc, don´t even try this game. It is mostly about it. And to answer a question above, yes, you can grapple a ship and bring the combat to melee.

    I have played since January.

    There are plenty of things to do on land. In fact, there are more.

    I know many people who use the ocean only as a form of transportation. Others live in the ocean.

    I have also gotten to know the people of this game better than any other.

    its a mostly nice community, if you go to a popular city (Athens for example) then, trust me, plenty of people will help you out,
