in World of Warcraft
just wondering if anyone really knows when wow will be released....i looked on many sites and all of them are different dates. Mostly all of them are in the Augest - December range. I know MMORPG.com says it will come out sept but lots of other sellers say differently like futureshop, EB, buy.com, and etc

    Yeah, every date you see or hear just take it with a grain of salt. Until Blizzard announces a date, nothing is official.

    I dont think there really is an exact date yet. They just say that it will come out some time in november or december. I wish there was a more exact date but there wont be for a very long time. It makes me feel better to think that the longer it is until it comes out the better it will be. Im just hoping that some how i will get a beta key so i dont half to wait. image

    Blizzard expect the game goes gold at the end of 2004 for the US, Canada and Korea. The servers for the rest of the world will come a little bit later. But Blizzard is always late with releasing games but they always bring out the best games of it's genre!

    If EA bought the rights to WoW then Wow would never be released and if it does...it would most likely be horrible.....

    and ya know...i actually laugh at you if you believed that....and don't you htink on blizz's main site if ea bought the rights they would have announced it....

    Thats BS. EA has the money but BLIZZARD NEVER GIVES UP THEIR OWN TRADEMARKS. Thats like letting America buy Japan and godzilla . . .or somthin like that.

    EA is the richest company in Gaming Industry. They can buy almost anything. If they offering money for WoW it must be huge amount of money like 10mill+ dollars. If so it is all depends on Blizzard. Remember Turbine Entertainment and Microsoft? Never know whats going to happen...

    Release date is probably september or october.

    Vivendi Universal (Blizzards parent company) is having a tough time right now.

    If WoW doesnt come out soon or bombs VU might really be up a creek without a paddle.

    Half Life 2 screwed VU so hard they had to fire many of their Sierra team. Plus some other branches of VU have been shut down.

    Good thing Chronicles of Riddick turned out really well on the XBox.

    Why do people always ask for release dates? You know forum posters are just human beings like yourself, they don't have superpowers that grant them extra knowledge....though some do have alot more time than others O_o

    Blizzard won't release WoW untill all testings are done. The only question is how long would it take? I would say 2-3 months because they are still in last close beta phase and they would need to make open beta.

    What about VU, you are right they need money right now couse HL2 should've been released long time ago and Blizzard doing mmorpg.

    I dont care when it's out, long as i'm still alive. blizzard will make it own; they wont just spend time screwing around. if they're spending time on it, they're making it better. Though i would like to be in the beta, lol. That way i could help them.

    dude vivendi is a BIG ASS corporation.  Blizzard is a water molecule to them.  games are nothing to them.  that's why the Diablo crew left and made their own game company.  They were sick of the machine ignoring them.

    Well if you look at all the old promos (the ones that were showing a year or 2 back in move theaters) the "EXACT DATE" used to be sometime in the spring of 03 lmao. I thinkit's definitely gonna be launched by midfall at the latest.

    Actually what I read (can't remember where or who it was that said it)  but in a Blizzard interview they said that WoW will be done in 2004, but "2004" for Blizzard means anytime before January 1, 2005 @ 12:01am.  image

    I heard, through some respectable sources of mine in blizzard, that the game will come out as soon as people stop posting these "release date of WoW" posts on all the forums. My source is the son of donut shop owner who sells donuts to some of the WoW team every morning, and he heard em talking about this. image


    I STILL say Sept. 24th, but I dont think anyone has faith in blizzard enough to release it at that time....but if Im right, im goin to be rubbin it in ALL your faces!image
