Very Impressed

I must say I am very impressed with this game. I usually hate F2P games and dont play them long at all, but this game has actually drawn me in. I found myself playing it for good 2 hours before I even noticed how long I was on and I still ended up having to force myself to logout.

I was a little hesitant at first being a F2P game and the registration process but after reading a few opinions and game info I can honestly say this is by far one of the best F2P games I have seen yet. This is a game that will stay on my computer as I can see myself enjoying it for quite a while.

If your still on the fence about wether to try it out I would say go for it, the game may just suprise you.

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

I had that problem a couple times as well, the only thing I can think it might be is a server limit since it is in a beta stage. I wouldnt give up on trying and I also click the force login button as well.

Good Luck with it, definately worth the wait to get in.

Im absolutly love this game so far, its very good indeed and iv not even seen hardly any of it yet.

I read that there is player housing and cities, aswell as a pretty in depth war system for different guilds taking over cities in 80 vs 80 guild battles.

The game is definatly, THE BEST F2P game out now and its actually far better than some of the P2P games.

This game may actually keep me away from Cabal Online for a while =D.

I also cant wait to see how the game gets as I move to higher ground as even the lower lvl's seem to be well done. Never thought I would ever play a F2P game but it looks like I was wrong, I will definately be sticking with this one for a long while

It definitely beats the pants off Maplestory or Flyff. Played both of those quite alot, I prefer Perfect World by far.

To me this is simply the best mmorpg around atm. Why else would I play this and not something

else. Granted I haven't tried all the mmorpg of course but most of them, yes including WoW.

I'm not saying this game is better than WoW. But I personally will enjoy and am enjoying this game

more than I did WoW. Btw about that guy talking about playing housing. That feature isn't implemented

yet. But I read on the forums that since this is on of the most anticipated feature they are working hard

on it and it will be implemented in the "near" future. We never know when that is though.

Anyway I would tell everyone to try this game. And play it for a few hours because at first it might be

a bit confusing where to go and such.

While I really enjoy Perfect World, and find no problems with the following, I know that many will... As you progress, the game definitely becomes more of a grinder.. By level 40, you won't be able to do quests for entire levels. You end up grinding half the time... And you can only imagine what it's like level 100+.

With that said, 5000+ quests still is quite a lot, and it has taken a giant leap in the name of 'asian grinders'.

It's a really good game, in my opinion. Anyone interested should at least give it a try.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I've been trying out every free game for about a year now just out of morbid curiosity, and needless to say I've become jaded towards the Asian f2p games.  It all started when I wanted to take a break from my main game of choice, tried WoW and wasn't impressed, and figured I'd look through the f2p market for a "fallback" game that I wouldn't have to pay for, if so then not much.

Some games did manage to keep my interest for a little bit, but they disappeared from my hard drive. I've only played this game for one evening, and already it's left a nicer impression on me than anything I've played before it in the free to play realms.

I'll be honest, anyone hoping for something cutting edge and new is going to be disappointed. It's pretty much your standard MMO. What makes it different though is it IS feeling more like a complete p2p MMO than your typical Korean import. The ONLY problem I have is the broken "engrish" sentences take some re-readings to understand what the heck they're trying to tell you. Remember though, this is technically a closed beta for the English version.

Aside from that, lots of quests, a well designed world...it's perfect for people who want something like WoW or EQ for free. Or a second game to spend time in away from your primary game....I've been playing GuildWars for almost 2 years now, and while it's still my favorite, I've seen almost everything by now.

Oh yeah, if anyone goes to try the English versions, you need to hit up the malaysian servers...I think Brazil has an English beta going right now as well, but it's IP blocking foreign countries. I live in TX, and even though my latency to the Malaysian server is like 300 ping I've only seen lag in crowded towns, which even then was bearable.

It doesnt really bother me that its a standard MMO especially for being a free one. What I find amazing is its just fun and free, definately 2 things that you cant beat. I have tried a lot of the free MMO and I just could never get into them, maybe I wanted more then what they offered or I simply couldnt stand the way some things worked. In Perfect World it seems to give just enough and a few more options then what a lot of the other free MMO give.

One big one for me was instead of being strictly point and click (which I cant stand at all) I also have the option to use WASD, a good decision on their part in my opinion. The gameplay has been smooth, no lag for me at least and with all the quests and other things to do in the game I am having a blast. I would say the one downfall to the game would be the music, think they could of done a little better then what they did but hey its free so I aint complaining.

LOL yeah that pop song they have for the theme...find myself humming it at work not even realizing what it is until I start muttering the chorus, then I stop in horror.

  • ParkCarsHereParkCarsHere Member Posts: 666

Hah... that song was the first thing I ever heard about this game. I listened to the song, went to the website, and now I'm downloading the client (mind you, I'm downloading today and I heard the song a week ago, so it's a delayed reaction :P).

I'm really excited about this, and I hope it turns out to be a very good game. I wouldn't even mind paying $5 a month ($10 at maximum...) for a great game that takes chances, but will still keep bots and gold sellers out. Seems like bots and gold sellers live on f2p games, so I hope Perfect World doesn't turn into that.

  • rev_lazarorev_lazaro Member Posts: 270

Well I'm not going to say they don't exist *yet* but they do make things harder. Like no auto targetting, no spamming World Chat unless you have the item to do it plus being above Level 5, and a nice little "report botter" function in case you do find one.
