Or should I get them later on? I have already bought this game, for $20, didn't come with any expansion.

It`s best to get all of the expansions because they include content that you will wan`t , for example the advanced skill lines . You really need the expansions to access the whole game.
The new expansion if bought retail will come with all previous expansions at no extra cost.
I am not sure if the expansion will require purchase of a retail box. I have noticed that there is no expanison or EQ2 to be found anywhere in the Raleigh area. It is interest that I get a postcard mailing from SOE to come back and get a month free, only to realize that the new expansion is supposed to come out after my "free month" is up.
