I'm glad that they finally added HGL. This game belongs here even if some people don't think so.
Diablo 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm hoping that this is worth being consider it's successor.

I had more fun playing Diablo2 with a few friends from work than probably any game ever. We used to have an absolute blast. I think this will be the same way. Casual kill-fest with no pressure from guilds for raids or any of that junk. Fun. Yes, fun! That's totally what I'm looking forward to. Just hookin up with friends in-game and slaughtering some zombies

Well, I'm going to celebrate by saying that I just now decided today that HGL will be the next game that my son and I play come Oct 31st.....

Unfortunately i wont be partaking in the wonders that are Hellgate until probably november the 5th/6th... going ona family holiday until then
The novel that is out now isnt that bad. Its called "Exodus". Its of course by no means an award winner, but the writing is about on-par with D&D novels, not too bad and easy to get into. I have yet to finish it but am finding that it explains a LOT about the setting and even more specifically the classes in the game. It translates pretty good into a book. Considering it is a book based on a video game I would say the bar is set pretty low, but it exceeds it

Its both. It has a singleplayer option as well as multiplayer. The MP option is very comparable to Guild Wars online play.
Its not a real MMORPG..its an RPG with a MMO hybrid like mode. I consider this game more of an Optional MMO Hybrid like game. Is it worthy of its own forums here? I'm tied on the idea of it having a forum here. Its multiplayer feature is being treated MMOish, if it was being handled say like Neverwinter Nights then I'd definitly vote no. I suppose if I look at it as a hybrid then there's really no big deal in letting it rest here, atleast its looking to be a good game and not a peice of crap like 50 % of the games that get through this sites lax standards on whats worthy of an MMORPG label. (such as Second life having a forum which I think is complete crap even its CREATORS said themselves it is not an MMORPG, it is NOT a game its a virtual society).
But I digress *eyes her pre order for Hellgate, waiting patiently as possible*

... or you can say it's multiplayer with single player option - think Guild Wars that you can play solo if offline.

Same here, I just noticed the board. I wouldn't have posted in the general forums about HG:L if I would have seen this forum.
Its strange, but I could have sworn they added this about 10 days ago....and it only appeared on the list for a day or so then vanished...and now its back.....
