Open Beta for Phoenix Dynasty Online will begin within hours!!
Here is the official news, and we welcome all player try this game out, I am sure it won't let you down!
We are happy to announce that we have started of Open Beta of Phoenix Dynasty Online (PDO) at 0.01am PST, on October 2007.
Phoenix Dynasty Online is an action MMORPG set in the world of the Warring States period of ancient China (from 475 B.C to 221 B.C.). In this game, you can join one of the four feudal states, grow your characters and skills, and participate in the legacy of history, fierce fighting, and politics among these feudal states. PDO presents to the players the following exciting features: scenery of extraordinary beauty; thousands of quests; cool actions and effects; advanced equipment crafting; exotic and magical mounts; guild wars and states wars; and a unique five-element system.
If you are a Closed Beta player and have the closed Beta version of the client program installed on your PC already, you can simply auto-patch to upgrade to the Open Beta version of the client program. If you have trouble auto-patching, you can click here to download the manual patch.
If you are a new PDO player, you can go here to download the complete client program for PDO Open Beta.

Top guilds from WOW, Guild Wars, Lineage II have already set their steps into PDO.
We only play chinese company's china's game...other company's china game sucks!~especially silkroad, heroes online etc.
You're going to have to back up your statements with some kind of statistic. Just saying it won't give PDO the credibility you want it to have.
So if you guys only play the Chinese company's China-based games, wouldn't Perfect World blow PDO out of the water then? If games like Silkroad suck, why is it in the top 10 list of games being played on Xfire? Look, I know you're just trying to promote the game, but trying to bash other popular MMOs isn't the way to do it.
You've already listed info on it, so if people find it interesting, they'll try it out.
Perfect World is a good game, really good game but after you reach lvl 60 you will find nothing to do, only raid and raid again. I have a lvl 65 char in Chinese server lol...
Their 2nd and 3rd game are the same quality, but less and less we play...and currently only malysian can play, it is illegal to play if you are not the citizen there, there will be an IP fileter soon..don't waste your time there.

First, if you are a developer of the game you're hawking here, you should understand that perhaps things are done differently in the western world, specifically North America and Europe. Here, it is not considered flattering or even semi-professional for a developer to advertise their game by claiming that any other game out there sucks compared to yours.
Especially when you claim falsehoods about the other games. Such as the Malaysian version of Perfect World putting in IP blocks soon. You do realize there is a Malaysian Chinese version AND a Malaysian English version, the english one being aimed toward those of us in the West, as well as the English speaking players of Malaysia.
The fact you play only Chinese games made in China has no real relevance to the game you are advertising. In fact, the only way most of us here even see a Chinese game is if another company licenses it to distribute it here in english. It seems you consider your personal persona and your business persona to be the same things. very bad thing to do in business.

I didnt even finish downloading it. A good majority of the board population is either useing bad translators or english is there 3rd or 4th language. I'm not saying that makes the game itself bad by any means I just dont want to play a game where I cant understand what someone is trying to say to me unless its yes or no. Well that and one of the posts mentioned that you cant PK someone untill your lvl 24, but after 24 you can PK anyone including people lower than 24. Thats just asking for gankfests.

If you want to hit our market I sugges you play the games that appeal to us we dont like grind fests the only reasons some western areas play them is because its free that is all. Most of us would rather pay money to play a good game than play a bad game for free that has had little to no research done on our market.
I know there is a simple WYSIWYG editor that chinese people love to use this is why they have churned out so many mmos that are all the same I am sorry but yes been free you will get 1 or 2 players. But if you want to do well look into what we want what we like and what we are prepared to invest our time in playing.
Saying the top guilds have left wow and other games for this is stupid. I am sorry but your saying the most popular mmo in the world is worse than yours please get real for starters you are been biased because it is your creation this is common with amature game developers. You are just showing yourself up and I think you are only saying this because you are desprate for people to come play. That in it's slef is bad PR and makes it look like you are well amatures and desprate.
Yes you put time into your game but I wish people would do research. At least WoW hit its target audiance not blind folded.
So in short this is some don'ts
Donts......
Say it is better than smash hit games.
Appear like your desprate for people to play.
Advertise in broken english (Not saying you did this is for future posters).
Claim top guilds have dropped smash hit games for yours its just not profetional.
Make fun of other games and compare them to yours (law suite anyone).
This is a small list there is alot of don'ts if you want people just tell people what your games about. Post lots of info like items pvp and so on. It is not hard to make a good post but please do not do anything in the Don't list these are things that will make me never try that game.
Just my 2 cents hope it is some good info you can use.

this is exactly how the game looks like.
i think he made a blunder by asserting that other popular MMO games cannt be mentioned in the same breath with PDO, which i think is a nice game ,such as early high drop rate,doubled experience,.even you can get a mount by asking a few questions when you have primitive access to the GAME,!!!
TO be specific, i got a benefit from PDO, -------unexpected 10000 gold, maybe it is not good news, but ,to my mind, i , a newfish in mmo, am very pulpating.
okay, to return from divergence..... despite a new bie, i hope we can enjoy a good world to relax ourselves....neglect to give vent to our rage in the public forum.. after all, every game has its bright and disgusting side,... ok... sorry to have yout time!!!! just say ....

Well, there you have it...I've looked at all the screenshots; PDO is just a renamed "World of Qin II".

I downloaded theg ame, played it for a bit, I'm not a fan, sorry.
My rule of thumb is to avoid any games with the word "Dynasty" in them....
They keep poping out hese pos f2p refurbished garbage.
some EMP bombs from that 1 rts game (I forgot which) would do the trick.
