I would love to talk about TR

but i cant because i cant connect to their servers and they have no idea why!

its pretty sweet, i log in, select my server, then it says "Sending Server Request".  And a bonus! you can do this forever, i just leave it as my screensaver sometimes because that little portal in the background is so cool!

man, that portal in the background behind the "Sending Server Request" is my favorite part of the game FOR SURE...

    Yes this happend to me last week allot of times, but......my work around was CTRL/ALT/DELETE and had to end the program that way, cause the sending server request didn't do anything. Mostly after ending the program i started it again, first get a message someone with my name is already logged in, wait 2/4 seconds and i was able to login. This hasn't happen to me since last thursday, but had the problem mon>wednesday and some day's the week before last.

    Before that last BIG patch i sometimes couldn't even get in even after several attempts it kept hanging at sending server request.

    But like i said since last thursday i hasn't happend......to me

    I have had no problems but a friend sent me an email saying he had to open the following ports to get the game to work.

    I couldn't find this dpocumented anywhere, so this may save some of you a bit of time. These are the ports I had to open before I get get TR to work

    TCP/UDP 16119
    TCP/UDP 2106
    TCP/UPD 8001-8300

    The first two seem to be required for the game browser to work. The third is used for connecting to the actual game server. It seems to use a pretty big spread.

    So he said the 3rd one was for connecting to the game server. So either your router or your ISP has these blocked would seem to be the most likely explanation.

    it would, and im at a university network.  i have talked to the IT people and they confirmed that all required ports are open, and they even opened a few for me. 

    Its really odd, because i can play every other online game except TR.  including other NCsoft games.  so i dont know if its just that TR is doing something different in establishing server connections, but i cannot connect and i know that others at universitys are experiencing similar issues.  Also it seems that users in Europe are experiencing issues with their ISP durring peak hours.

    Get a 15 mps download through Verizon Fios Fiber optic and u will have no problems!!!!!

    yea, thats definately the way to go considering that im a college student and have no money, on top of that i allready have a connection that is 5-10 mbps.

    Sometimes I get this issue for one server but not others. See if you get the issue for all three servers.

    Whatever it is its not load related because I'm just as likely to get the issue on a Low capactity server as one which is Medium or High load.

    Also, I haven't seen this issues since the last patch.
