Equipment Color Question

LoboMauLoboMau Member UncommonPosts: 395

I have a question. I know in this game we can choose lots of things in our Avatar, one of those is to choose the main color in our player, but...what will happen when we start to put new equipment and clothes? Can we choose the colors of this new items? Because if we cant, our "unique personality" goes to hell! And we start to seem a bunch of clones!

Armour selection during character generation is useless, you will replace almost all of it by the time you get out of bootcamp, just accept the default armour choice and move on

Im not talking about armor selection. Im talking about the hability to choose the colors of new equipment that we encounter in the game!

abhaigh meant the color you choose for your armor at character creation is useless as by the time you get out of bootcamp you will have replaced your starting armor with better armor and the color doesnt transfer.

At the moment dye kits apply to armor. So you cant change the color of your rifle/pistol/hair/rocket launcher etc

The dye recipes are looted, you go to a crafting machine and buy the pigments to mix then you craft a bottle of armor paint.

I'd have to disagree slightly. Its worth selecting all the head features (skin colour, hair style, hair colour etc, because these will always be with you.

Clothes will change very quickly. I normally dont even bother with dyes until I hit about 15th level because I change clothes that often. At 15th level armour seems to last me longer so I start dying things.

Below on the screenshot you'l see  your basic dye kit you get at the beginning ingame. Dye's that you can craft (you'll find the recipe's for that from loot and buy the ingridients from the Craft Vendors mostly infront of craftstations), as far i could tell only have one color option, but this color has different shades, so for example you can have a purple dye, and when you use it you get the same box like you see on the screenshot but with 20 different shades of purple. (purple just a example, this can also be blue, red....ect..ect. And these type of "solo" colors are also more fluorescent then the colors of the basic dye kit

Very Cool! And it makes sense. If you want to dye the equipment that you encounter, you have to no how!
