Don't take this the wrong way, but it will be released when it is ready and tested i guess
Biggest focus will be on the reduced XP requirement to level from 20-60, guild banks and new raid, but there is also some 'Character balancing' in there too which looks to be aimed mostly at PvP balance.
Will just have to wait and see i guess
It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
Only thing that has annoyed me is that they have taken away 'Blinding Powder' for the blind ability as i was making a nice bit of cash from that stuff. It dropped while i was running faction and sold for 3-5g a stack on my server, so it was a nice little bonus. Sux, lol.

Soon, you guys will be able to create a char and make him lvl 70 with raid gear from character creation. I heard it's going to be in 2.5
Cheers!
At some point in the future, if Vanguard hasn't bombed. Additional content created with expansions will stretch out the player base, and the earlier content will be made faster to plough through.
Even with Vanguard. "Dumbing down" has happened with pretty much every MMO out there. But it's not really dumb, it's just common sense.
Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
This happens in all games, EQ1 did it when they removed the death penalty from players below 10 & gave them Racial Armor. They did it in SWG after we all did the holo-grind (28 proffessions here & unlocked the day AFTER pub 9), now you can make a Jedi from scratch.
They have to make the beginning easier so they can get everyone to the levels where they can enjoy the high-level content the new expansions provide. I am only 36 right now, so I don't see a reason to buy BC right now, but when I get closer to 70, I will. That's their logic & it holds true. Why spend money on an expansion I can't even use? Get those people to the higher levels faster so they'll be forced to buy the new expansions.
This is the first time I've been on the plus side of a change like this, & I'm going to enjoy it.

Grats on coming into a decent thread and adding absolutely nothing of substance, nothing like a cheap shot and quick withdrawl, I will never understand why people bother to read/post about games they know nothing and care nothing about

He actually kinda added a valid point there. As "balanced" as the classes may be in this game the content is the least balanced. The pvp has been a big focus of TBC and the raiding people have been cut to 20-mans and ruined guilds. People bitched and whined about the rep grind (which was atrocious) so they cut it in half (for the most part). The grind to keep up with the BG's to get the top rank was too much for people, so they added the honor points that are easily grinned out.
People complained they didnt understand how the stats worked for gear/character so they dumbed it down a little bit more... then the talent trees... well sure it allows you to "customize" you character, but at the same time, raiding guilds want you ONLY one way and PvP'rs want you ONLY the other way.
Gold was horribly inflated, so instead of creating better pricing on items and adjusting outrageous (did you know you cant buy a lvl 12 green dagger on the AH on khadgar for less then 4g??) AH prices on things to help control the market they just flooded the system with more money and made things more expensive (5k for an epic flying mount plus rep grind if you want something nice), and now they're adding a craftable flying mount. well hells bells, why dont they just give each class a quest to get their own flying mount and do away with the money grind?? though i'm sure that'll be next.
What he said made perfect sense, the most work you have to actually do in WoW anymore is grind out cash and levels... barely.
I honestly hope that future MMO's see this fatal flaw of grinding for gear to grind for gear. Full craftable is the best way to go... people will raid with or without the best gear, its about the exploration and adventure... or at least it used to be.
"And after blizzard takes over the world, they are gonna gather a bunch of lemmings, sit on their fat asses near a cliff, and watch the little fuzzy bastards suicide dive into the ground below. . . . . all just for their own entertainment."

All valid points but my point was the people posting on this thread all play and enjoy the game regardless of how dumbed done some may consider it. Regardless of how he or obviously you find the game unsatisfactory. So why come into a thread discussing a patch and make a negative comment because a game fails to meet your standards of difficulty? Did I miss the subtitle of the thread that said Patch 2.3- and how it will make an easy game easier? Let the people who enjoy playing play and keep your hate contained to what ever full pvp mmo your capped character is terrorizing level 9's in please.
Not every server has the inflation you speak both of my servers for horde and allies have decent prices for most items, and to flame a game for catoring to its costumers seems to be contradictory to the many thread I see that complain about lack of dev response to consumer concerns. Coming from a druid I can tell you I have done endgame through SCS and have never been told to spec a certain way ( though I will give you druid dps can at times be lacking) and all three druid specs are more than viable in both BG's and arena's/
Since I am not one of those people who plays a game so claims to know everything about it I cannot say it is the same for all other classes, but have four 70's I can say Shaman, Druids, Mages, and Locks can all spec into any of their trees with out being useless in eithe PvE or Pvp ( with the possible exception of enhance shammies)
My whole point is if you want to bash a game create a thread or join one of the ones created by the phlethora of other haters, don't come into a random thread and just drop your insult in the middle of it. Hows that for a valid point?
Well I personally didn't bash the game. In fact I used to really really enjoy the game prior to the TBC. People are just trying to make a simple point that WoW has a fatal flaw that will eventually be the games demise. Personally i think that patch 2.3 has some cool stuff in it... unfortunately the massive problem with all of this is that they're trying to balance things... again. Theres no point to balance something thats not meant to balanced, you are kinda meant to group in a MMO... its a social game you pay for, for a reason.
"And after blizzard takes over the world, they are gonna gather a bunch of lemmings, sit on their fat asses near a cliff, and watch the little fuzzy bastards suicide dive into the ground below. . . . . all just for their own entertainment."
especially about the balance, people who wish to solo cry they are gimped and classes with builds that are great 5v5 cry cause they are not good enough 3v3. No game is perfect and I wasn't trying to bash you or your thoughts. Just your defense of the original one line, no substance, meanless post left here that started out conversation

Read the patch notes, talk about lazy.
Thanks, and I just found the patch notes, I didnt see them before.
Confirmed for 2.3
And theres more to come so they say.
Can't wait.
I will have to read through the 'wall of text' patch notes, but from what is posted here so far... it's a win.
Any word on when they'll make Arena Season 1 gear available for purchase via Honor? Is that in 2.3?

So, no one has a clue when 2.3 is coming??? Bummer!
I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm eagerly waiting!

Think 2.3 has been the best patch coming out in a while.
