    I agree with the above poster. DAOC is a good start.

    I never played it, but I also thought that EvE Onine has player housing (I may be mistaken)

    FFXI-has your moghouse, ul use it alot and u can customize w/ all kinds of stuff, though ppl cant come in.its more of a hardcore grouping game but deffnitly fun if u have the time, and probly the best endgame ive ever seen.(03) {can be played on ps2/x360 also} "12.95p/m"

    EQ2- has houses u buy right off and u can custmize alot also, and ppl can come in when u let them. more balanced on group and solo, very quest orientated, tons of contenet too.(04)"14.95p/m"

    Vanguard-has player housing and u can build ur own ship. leans more twords grouping but still solo able. jsut recently added endgame content, and its a more recent title(07)"14.95p/m"

    there is a few i personaly tryed/deeply read into. not much but hope it helps, lemme know if u want more general info/links for these games.

    Vanguard has non-instanced houses in many categories. From small wooden shacks to huge castle-type guild halls. Including three different building styles (asian, medieval, desert) You can place furniture in it (I think I read somewhere 900 different unique furniture pieces). You can also have a ship and sail around.

    Ship and house must be build or bought tho, usually they are obtainable at around level 30 after 4-5 days of played time. Or if you are lucky with good drops you sell, then even sooner.

    Anarchy Online

    *   Free to download

    *   Free to Play

    *   F2P version is 'real' version of game.  Just has a few billboard ads and no access to some expansion content.

    *  Fully formed, Class A, MMORPG.

    Good Hunting

    You are mistaken.

    Unless you consider a Space Station costing billions of  ISK and hundereds of players to be 'housing'.

    altho vanguard DOES offer these things it's not NEAR as easy to obtain them as it sounds. and yes, it's nice to actually have to work towards something in a game, they just made it a little over the top.

    i'd recommend you look into EQ2 to start. as a new subscribed player you get a free apartment and since you don't need to make an alternate character to craft you can take up the artificer crafting profession and craft your own furnishings.

    thanks for the correction

    i just remember not worrying about saving to pay upkeep or anything, so it musta not been all that big of an expense. plus it's been over a year with half a dozen games in between since i've last played it.

    your better off looking into the ones u think lok intresting. things like "can i run these games" vanguard requires some good comp specs too run. are they solo or group orientated, hows the endgame...ect. if they have a trial, just DL them and play for a couple hrs, i know EQ2 has a trial, but vanguard and FFXi atm do not. its hard to ask ppl on forums like this, most are just gunna give favored opinions to whatever game is suiting them and put down other ones, or cant compare many games because they havnt tryed alot. so basicly reasearch the game/DL trials/make sur e u can play them on ur comp.
