Pre order date question (Yes I know it's a bit to early)

So just as the question says. When do you think we will be able to pre order the game? Or is there any official news on it?

Hmm, I think you can actually preorder the game now, although I haven't checked EBGames/Gamestop recently about it.
However, I think the question remains -- especially due to the Closed Beta hiatus period -- if the February release date will hold.
My completely unsupported opinion is that the date will not hold and release will be delayed until at least March (or later). I am not particularly worried about this since last-minute MMORPG releases are par for the course. Happens all the time.
Also, I would be putting off any preorder until I found out what will be offered in the way of 1) Collector's Editions or 2) Special Limited Editions and 3) whether or not one of those "Get-Into-The-Game-Early" offers will be made ... like when they allow you to enter the game a few days or a week early.
I personally don't think they will allow access to the Closed Beta (and there is no word that I am aware of about any Open Beta) with a preorder simply because it would require them to bring lots of servers online long before retail release.
Instead -- one of those "You-Can-Get-In-Three-Days-Early" offers -- MIGHT -- be something they would entertain.
No facts on this -- just wild guessing.

Actually just checked gamestop and they are doing pre orders now if anyone is really interested. Date there giving 2/1/2008 although as the previous poster said it probably wont stay that way and will get delayed
well i think it would be nice to have a early feb. release since my birthday is feb. 8 (imagine if it came out on my b-day...wicked) but if it got delayed i would be sad but not upset since im building a computer just to cater to wow and other games such as aion. so the more time the better.
I hope it gets pushed back till March becaseu my birthdays in March. that and it gives me more time to save up for my new computer
I currently already pre ordered and paid off my balance at Gamestop. I'll probably buy two more accounts after I test the game out in beta (if not I will go with one until game is out and I have tested it).
There has been no announcement on a "collector's" yet but "gamestop" told me they would notify me if it was (so I can swap out my regular version for collector's).
Yep I have a pre-order at Gamestop as well. 5 bucks I think to hold.
There is no official release date. EB GAmes / Gamestop's computers must have some sort of date so they always choose a tentative date during the Quarter of the year that the game is supposed to come out. I'm honestly leaning to it being more of a late to mid March release date. Maybe early April at the latest depending on things go once they start the Beta up again in December. They said mid to late Quarter 1 release .. Feb is not late quarter 1.
When they do put out an official release date you better bet yer bottom dollar we'll hear about the different packaging options like collectors edition or regular edition etc etc. Not to mention the press that EA will give the game.
Oh yea and you can put money down on it at any EB Games / Gamestop location they usually start preorders for games up to a year before release depending on the title, regardless of an official release date or not.

Just to reiterate (and also to keep my "stars" since if you don't keep posting here they take yer friggin' "stars" away) I would say I would be hoping that they do one of those deals where if you preorder you get something like:
~ a little non-combat pet, just something that follows you around
~ a entry to the game "a few days" before retail release

They haven't said anything about this yet, but the game devs usually offer something "extra" for a preorder and another something "extra" for a Collector's Edition or Special Limited Edition.
Currently my "Lucky Eight Ball" says:

well i already know my plans for WAR pre-order/release
ill pre-order when release date is given, and buy the collectors edition
then upon release get it at midnight go home and play for 24 hrs straight
if it comes out on a school night then im skipping school to play.......awww im look forward to this release 
I think i read in one of their FAQ grab bags that they will have a open beta and i think it said they plan to invite any1 who applied to join it. that or their gonna let tons in.
