I honestly do not know much about this game, although i have played the trial some time ago <cant remember when>. I just want to hear from current subscribers about what they think of the game. I personally like to explore in MMO's and didnt like the fact that most of the game takes place inside of a town. Did they change it some to were you can explore outside of the town or are you stuck in there the whole time?

It looks like they've added a bunch of 'outside the town' content lately, including some kind of big desert area.  I think DDO has about the best combat system I've ever seen in an MMO, but it's just not my cup of tea.  I might jump in again when they add the next new class to the game...

The core game is still the same, so if you didn't like that aspect  of it before, you probably won't like it now.   Everything across the board has gotten better.   The game is more optimized and alot more content is in the game world now.   That is what this game is all about.   If you like tackling great quests with groups, this MMO will deliver.

There's over 5-6 "outdoor" areas if not more.  The last 3 which were added are pretty damned awesome.

DDO has the best avatar combat out of all the current MMOs.  This game has not recieved the recoginition it deserves.

I subscribe to DDO and EVE Online.  They are the only two games which can keep me captivated for extended periods.

p.s. the outdoor areas are VERY solo friendly.

Agreed.  I would still be playing if Turbine recognised my billing address!!!
