Ok.  I like hitting moles on the head with a hammer.

The demo does not compare to the beta, really don't pass judgements on something you've literally only played up to level 5.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter though man. The only difficulty they can add this close to launch is more HP, or making the mob's hit harder.
You know how in WoW or other games there were dungeons with gear checks? Where you couldn't progress past a point without the right gear? Well in action games, you need skill checks. A demonstration at some point that you've mastered certain abilities, and can now progress past a point. It's why in some games there's that super tough boss that kills you dozens of times, and that you can't get past without pulling every trick in the book.
This game lacks that totally. There's no sense of accomplishment. It's just whack-a-mole, whack-a-mole, over and over while collecting grand quantities of loot. I'm not hating, but I'm just not into it.

Nightmare mode in and of itself is a gear check, not to mention the varying levels of difficulty from start to finish.  I think you're far oversimplifying how difficult this game will be in the latter levels, not to mention trying to solo bosses with seven other people in the instance.  That's ok though.  Keep making your assumptions, and I'll be having loads of fun playing while you're still waiting for the next crappy MMO.

Hey, to each his own man. I wish I would have had fun playing this game; I honestly do. For me though, it's just too shallow.

You've gotta pay extra for Nightmare mode btw, and there's just no way I can justify that expense after what I've seen. Needs more strategy.

Remember that there is a difference between making things hard and making things as close to impossible as possible. You could just stick a monster into the game that has 999,999 hp for the hell of it and say it is possible to kill it.

As far as making things harder? More HP, more dmg, or more mobs and that is about as hard as it can get, It isn't going to be like DMC boss fights or WoW for that matter. The system just isn't set up for complex fights and if it was the game lag they currently have would make it impossible. Heck killing the leaping lizards is hard enough as melee especially when they bug out and they sit in midair. I will wait until November to get DMC4 for the hack & Slash as well as the cool boss fights. Still love the Cerberus fight in DMC3.

BTW Does Nightmare mode mean that I will actually have to use bandages? I mean I still have about 40 of the starter ones and a bunch of the mediums and the only time I use them now is when I take on a boss with about 5 other things attacking me as well. Not because it was hard but rather because any other way it wouldn't be a challenge. The only time I have died in beta is when I had an entire room of mobs plus rare mobs and a boss on me(Green park approach I think it was). Heck with enough HP/M I could probably get away with no bandages.

The jumping lizards are identical to the jumping lizards (lurkers) in the desert of Diablo II.
