The asgard crisis

For what I know, it seems that the devs team has a problem with the Asgard:

# Incredibly wanted by the fans.

# Deads since the serie-finale, forcing the devs to change the game time from virtual season 11 to seasons 3 - 8.

# Definitely not ground actors, so going with an army of robots, even in full contradiction with the whole Replicators storyline.

# Taking the righteous place of the Tok'Râ.

# Something fans are now starting to complain about.

I am not here to mock you. I actually can't see what could prevent me from buying your game. I just would like to know your thoughts about this "asgard crisis", like I call it.

    I feel Asgards shouldn't be playable, as they didn't meddle in the affairs of our galaxy (not counting the protected planets treaty).

    These are grounds for discussion, and I would like to know how exactly they will get incorporated into the game, seeing as it could very well disrupt the game's bond with the series.

    I feel with the Season Finale, take them out. Otherwise they need to make a strange cross-dimensional Asgard thing...

    The team was well aware of the impending death of the Asgard, well in advance of the viewing audience. They have factored this into their plans for the game and have found a time period to make it work.

    We have two movies to come, and I feel that the Asgard are far from completely dead as race. Even after season 10.

    I vote that the developers leave the Asgard in the game while having the game take place in SG-1's last season. But have all Asgard appear as interactive holo-projections that they bequeathed to Stargate Command before the Asgard's demise.

    Since you say you have found a "time period to make it work"  does this mean that earth will not be as up to date as the show has been, also since the Ori have just came in to the game does this mean that they will not be in SGW i would hate to see the game be so far back in time that most of new cool stuff that has just been discovered in the show.

    it may be far back in time that most of new cool stuff that has just been discovered in the show isn't around but the game will grow with updates and expanstions. And who know maybe some how we players will have a part in discovering that new cool stuff.

    The timeline, so far is set between 2-9 or was it 2-8, so yeah for the initial period I'm sure the later 'cool' stuff will be missing.

    But hopefully something to look forward too...

    if you guys see stargate Atlantis you might have noticed that Carter is pretty sure that there is still Asgaard left in the Pegasus galaxy. ! actualy she sounds pretty sure about it.. cnat remember excatly when she says it. but if i remember right its sometime while they are building the spacebridge! :)

     

    iin other words.. devs got a reason to have asgaard ingame again.. and dont have to go back ot the 3-8 season!
