Ahoy there!
So as the way things are going... I'm dead bored. I'm just bored of waiting for some new big MMO and so I took a look at what I got now. Now, only real option for me is EvE, I did play it for couple of months but I kinda got sick of the game. I mean, really sick, I had like 1 month of play time left, I couldn't make myself to log in. That sick.
But now when looking back on things I did some very bad decisions. First of all I tried just about every expect of the game - mining, trading, some little bit of crafting and loads of PvE. Now some of you may notice that I missed probably the best and most fun part of the game - PvP. Yes... I did feel PvP, I got killed here and there... In fact I got raped in my new cruisers (can't remember the name now) in the first jump I did with it. But okay... Shit happens, life goes on.
Now my old corp was too much in to the PvE, mining and production... Good guys and girls but, when I asked em when we gonna go to bit more low lvl space, they said like 6 to 12 months (WTF?)... So I kinda said, well fuck this and moved on... To WoW... And almost killed myself for doing that again. Really.
Aaaanyway, at the start of this post I said how I'm dead bored and I really need a game... any. Now. So I thought I'd resub to EvE and make myself a brand new char - a pirate! Now okay, I don't care if I'll be pirate or merc or whatever, I just want to do like PvP, PvP, PvP and some more PvP on top of that. Now I know every one says "It's mkay, you can PvP with newb char" - right, so how to approach the PvP world of EvE with out making fool our of yourself and being laughed at by whole galaxy?
I mean... saying things like "Hay, I'm new, I want to be a pirate, any corp wants me?" will get me stabbed out there in that cold space! And next day when I get to some one and say "Yarrr, money or life!", he'll be like "No, please! ... Oh wait, you're that wannabe pirate! *lol* Here kid, have 10 isk, no buzz off!"
What I want to say is... I'm looking for some one, some one evil, like a pirate... but still good enough to be willing to take PvP newb under his or her wing and show him how to get shit done!
Yarr!

Well your biggest problem is that most of your pirate corps are veteran pvpers and they usually dont accept people under a certain amount of SP; usually around 10mil SP.
My suggestion would be join up with a 0.0 alliance thats involved with the war and get some pvp experience then look for pirating later down the line.
I would say your best bet could be either Eve University or since you have played before and probably have at least few million sp under your belt, make a post in the recruiting section of official EVE forums looking for corps that are into pvp and might be interested in taking a newbie under their wings.
You shouldnt have a problem finding a corp to PvP with, Just post or look on the EvE-O forums or make a post of your own stating everything your looking to do. But a heads up you will be used as a tacker mainly for a good bit.
Also, if you have played for a few months you should have 2.5-3mil SP+ so you should have the basics skills for recruitment.
Best luck to ya

I will be making a new char... The old one is... All over the place. But thanks!
Just a recommendation:
Don't start over on a new account unless you have less than 800,000 skill points. Just pick up where you left off. All those skills you trained will eventually be useful anyway so it's not a big deal that you have them. LOSING them, on the other hand, would be a colossal waste.
As to PVP? If you have some isk already you might want to talk to agony unleashed and learn the basics. After that's done you'll have most of the skills and some experience, needed to make you valuable in a pvp group. If you don't have isk just look on the corporation recruiting forums for pvp or pirate groups that are open to recruiting new players.
Personally I detest pirates, especially lame lowsec pirate gate campers... but if that's the route you really wanna go more power to you.

Gate camping sounds like it would be boring. I'd rather round up some miners after they've half-filled their cargo hold around asteroid belts, if was a pirate.

I've just become involved in The Great War in 0.0 (The Alliance vs. The Coalition). This is the path I would recommend for you. I think it's easier for a new player than piracy.
In my experience, it's good to train for a role in the team. The one that takes the shortest time is tackling/interceptors/light frigate warfare. From here, you can branch out more easily into covert ops (which takes longer to get all the skills).
Covert ops is the hot specialisation at the moment - it's very needed. You would be very popular.
A good 'side effect' is you could also explore 0.0 - very lucrative!! (much better than piracy, IMO)
Cyno generating for the capital ships is also very needed. This doesn't take too long to get the skills (a Kestral is the favoured ship, but I think this is dangerous for an inexperienced player (it looks too dangerous for me at the moment!)
I decided to fight on the side of The Alliance (Band of Brothers, ISS etc) because they tend to prefer large gang or fleet warfare over The Coalition's gate camping war of atrition.
I would do some research and pick your side carefully.
We are normally the winning side, but at the moment we are in retreat as this video suggests...

I really wish to start fresh. Not just because old char has SPs all over the place (and some are very usefull I must say!), but also because if I log in with him I'll have to explain to my corp, my first corp, that I'm leaving em for some blood and how they are bunch of carebears... And I can't do that them. They took me in while I was still on a trial. Really good folks. + I love the start of any MMO, especially EvE where you fight for every ISK, and then when you buy yourself a new ship for the first time... Love it!
And about that Great War, I'm just amazed at that thing. When I read some posts and threads I get feeling like I'm reading some real world war stories... And I don't know much but I think BoB is like evil of all evils, they are big and strong, like Empire from the SW... and Alliance is like Rebellion, fighting the big dragon... And I always stick with the good guys... + once BoB is dead it wil be 100 times more fun to see the onslaught that will fallow when all the smaller Alliances start to fight over the territories and the general backstabbing starts - perfect time for some individuals to exploit the chaos and get rich - like pirates!
I left my Corp too, because they were carebearing in highsec and i wanted yarr. Still talk to the guys there, and some even came with me into 0.0. They will understand that you need some Adrenaline..
Btw. if you want to be a Piwate: Triumvirate are nice pirates, and tey surely need people who like the yarr-side of life.
Or you can work with Morsus Mihi or Razor to finally kill BoB. Join the Old North, its great there..
I dont see how you are going to be a pirate if you cant talk to your old corp and tell them your leaving, let alone tell other people "im going to kill you or your giving me ISK" Just dont sweat it, its probably not as hard as your making it seem.
No! No! No! No! No!
Being a carebear is 100% ok! There is nothing wrong with this. You can easily go from being a carebear to joining a PvP corp!
For example, I spent 7 months in Eve University (The biggest carebear stare corp there is, and ever was) and The Allies welcomed me with open arms.
If you start out as a pirate some corps may not trust you! So be careful!
Oh yes, and by the way, I happen to think The Allies (Band of Brothers etc) are the good guys!
I don't really view The Coalition as evil though, it's just that I prefer the legends that are Reikoku, Evolution, and Black Nova.
Not yarrr, but haaay!
I reactivated my account today and... decided to stick with my old char, it just seemed like a waste to delete it + I had 30 mil on it
Buuut... To my surprise my corp went hardcore! They joined some big ass alliance and now we are in 0.0 waging war! After 2 hours of convincing some cocks from alliance that I'm not a fricking spy, in fact that I'm biggest newb, things started to move in right direction.
First order of business was making 40 jump trip in to the deep 0.0. Now, me being newb I never saw 0.0 and I expected all kinds of hell along the way. I picked up my trusty shuttle and got on the way. First 10 jumps were boring.... Nothing special, but then I started running in some pirates (yarr!) who tried to kill me, but I was too fast for em so I just jumped away.
But then things started to get more interesting... I ran in to a bubble (I think... I never saw one before) and I was ready to kiss my ars good bye... but lucky me there was no evil camper around so I just flew away a bit and jumped. Yay, me 1, evil campers 0. Then some more jumps... and BANG! This time I'm not sure if it was bubble or not but again I could not jump away... And I've noticed one happy camper orbiting the gates. So I was like "Shit, shit, wtf now?!", so I tried to get back to gates but his eagle eye spotted me - last famous words "Can we talk this out?"
Before you knew it, I was back where I started, 40 jumps away.... Sad part is I was 6 jumps away from HQ. Me 1, evil campers 1. Or 2. Yes, that one was worth 2. Me 1, evil campers 2.
Sooooo.... I was kinda.... low on moral and was wondering how the hell am I going to make 40 jumps. And then one smart corp members suggested changing my clone location to our new HQ and just get pod killed. I almost lost like God knows how many SPs, because I forgot to upgrade my clone, but a friendly corp member reminded me. So, I did that and put my pod on self destruct and voila! I was in deep 0.0, green as grass
But... now the reality of 0.0 kinda got to me. Shopping is no longer an easy feat, everything is a gamble and everything must be planed... and everything costs more then in high sec. I didn't see any PvP (being raped in some sort of bubble, I don't count as PvP) in my 1st day.... But I talked about with some alliance members and well I will not be a total waste. I will be some sort of tackler, great! Just need about 16 days to get my skills up for Intercepters. No idea how I'll be able to make living in 0.0... Ratting could be bit too much for my frigs or cruisers (prefer frigs - cheaper if I lose em, and I will lose em ), no idea if there are any missions but again above my level... and mining... fucking boring!
And I don't want to ask for free stuff from corp or alliance! I never did and I never will. I have my honor.
So... I have to think about this whole thing... I don't know, at the moment I feel sooo lost.
But earning ISK in 0.0 is challenging, and there are a few pre-requisites. First thing to do right now is train up Infomorph Technology to level 2 or 3 and get yourself some jump clones set up in your corp's home space. Then you can set your death clone to Empire and jump back and forth between the two areas (with a 24 hour timer delay between jumps)
Next, if you can't fly a ratting ship of some sort.... get busy on it.... if you are Caldari follow the path to the Drake... it can tank rats in the drone regions just great, and even in the pirate areas you could survive most fights.... then I'd work on training for a good ratting Battleship..me, I have a Raven I fly for earning ISK.....
Or, you can start mining, or even make a deal with your corp mates... you learn to fly haulers or what ever.
Me, I waited about 2.5 months before I rolled out to 0.0 (from starting as a Noob) and I was able to fly a decent ratting Raven by then. Now I put all my training into PVP skills since my corp fly's stealth bombers a alot.... (got my first kill mail last night....yea!)

The above post is alot of good advice. Get your finances in order as far as ratting in 0.0 and then go from there. As far as getting into Triumvirate, I would have to say you are too low sp. We have a 15m sp limit, unless you get grandfathered in with a corp that joins. Might I ask what alliance you did end up joining? Alot of them out there have space but aren't worth a damn...
Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.
Sure. It's Insurgency. But well... Another option is that I just get the hell back to empire space and stay there for couple of weeks while I train some more skills and earn ISK. But that means no PvP... I don't think it would be good to go on terrorizing local population while I'm in this corp/alliance
Oh, and everyone toled me about those jump clones... Will do that.
I think you should set yourself 2 short term goals now:
1. get yourself in battecruiser so you will able to rat in 0.0 and make money
2. as you were planning train interceptor skills (maybe those eas ships coming in rev3 too)
After you have accomplished goal 1 it will make your life a lot easier. Because honestly atm there is no way for you to make money in 0.0 unless you can tag along with someone more experienced.
Second goal allows you to pvp at pretty much veteran level. Of course you will have some support skills bit worse but interceptors are very needed ships no matter who you are flying with.

Well, this morning I decided to leave 0.0 for a while and I'm back in high sec. I plan to say here for couple of weeks (unless plan changes), just to get some of my skills up (SPs and play skills, I feel noober then ever ).
At the moment I'm working on advanced learning skills (got all basic skills to lvl 4), now I just did perception lvl 2, and I'm doing advanced int lvl 2. Then I'll pick adv. willpower.
As it is, I can train for BC or BS straight away, I have ISK to buy books, but no ISK for ships. + I'll need to pick all new weapon skills too and some more stuff.
I am Caldari btw.and Caldari's BCs look awesome! Oh and BS Rokh - God... It looks like some massive train locomotive, so powerful and strong!
But then I like the idea of smaller ships... I mean... Like a wolf pack of frigs taking on bigger ship. Oh well, will see how things go.
At the moment I will do some missions in my Caracal to buy some basic implants to rise my atributes some more.
Thanks all!
I enjoyed reading your posts. Good luck!

Captains log, EvE date ... what ever
So I've talked with some guys in Alliance, posted some questions on our forums and people came with some nice tips. It turns our Caldari are shit when it comes to PvP (which I find fucking ironic considering that we are suppose to be some bad ass military empire), so I was advised to stop working on any missile skills and switch to gunnery ASAP... Also I should learn to fly ether Minmatar or Gallente ships. Everyone was in favor of Minmatar, their duck-taped ships seem to pwn ars... But I decided to go with Gallente since they look just about 2415241974 times better.
At the moment I'm learning advanced learning skills, that will take me couple of days... And then combat skills! Doing lvl 2 missions at the moment, but I don't care... Just want to get bit more skills before I hit 0.0 PvP, hope it will be soon. In short, I'm having a blast in EvE! I do get bit depressed from time to time when someone tells me that even after a year of training I will still not be able to equip my ship to it's full potential... But okay, I'll do my best
Looking forward to Trinity, that's for sure!
Train for something small, you can outfit it well very soon.
But first an advise: since you are initially caldari, train up to a drake with partly t2-fitting (at least tank). It can tank insane numbers of dps and dish out okay damage, so you get a good foundation for isk in lowsec. Then skill for a taranis, t2 small hybrid weapons, t2-drones and similar. Everyone will love to take you with him in gangs as a tackler and you will always be at the front line. lots of adrenaline.. (and a full t2-setup should not take you longer than 1 1/2 - 2 months, while being useful whil you train the skills)
btw. insurgency? You guys were blue to Morsus Mihi iirc, right? Watch out for Triumvirate..
Bear in mind on the Test server Torpedoes are getting changed aparently to make Caldari more PvP oriented than they are right now.

I guess the only thing even lamer that calling gate camping pvp is to call can ore can flipping pvp.
Yes, Gatecamping is boring.
The rest you are saying is utter bullshit though. Sorry for the hard words, but im living in 0.0 and do quite some pvp..
