While im going to play TR, im not THAT excited about it, its an ok game, and it has alot of potential.

but i have to say that Garriot knows how to do pr, the beta event was a total blast constant bane attacks lead by devs playing general british clones with funny names and a simulacast on siradio  with the devs  anouncing general british sittings. I dont think ive ever had a better time in a beta and i have never seen dev interaction like it since EQ1, i hope its something they carry to the live game. After that i cant wwait till tuesday

    I was there too, it was a freakin Blast!!  I loved the "Mini Lord Britishs" too! lol.  Cant wait till Tuesday for the 3 day headstart!!

    I find the whole game a bit of a let down myself.

    Im trying not to base too much of an opinion about TR given that I only played the first 10 levels or so.  However, I think the engine is very nice, the graphics very nice.

    But, it doesn't capture my interest a great deal.  It seems a little limited in its scope.  However I'm sure it will appeal to a great number of people. So, I too wish them all the best.

    Now.......if Funcom announced AO2 using the AOC engine....THAT would make me sit up and pay attention ;)

    Very interesting idea.

     

    I'm sure I read somewhere that AO was getting a graphics upgrade. What with Funcom having AoC and TSW on the go I find the prospect of AO2 a bit unlikely, but you never know!

    I didn't like the game much, but I'm hoping they get through with a free trial once it has a couple updates on itself. I wanted to like it, since there are few (aka in practice, none) real action MMOs out there, but I was somewhat let down by the system. Who knows, maybe by then I'll change my mind and get a lifetime sub

    While at first I was a little unsure about this game,  last nights beta even won me over enough to at least go for the three day headstart.  While I didn't help out too much in the invasions, it gave me a lot of time to people watch and check out all the +30 classes.  



    + Stalking Sarah Morrison for thirty minutes and continuously repairing her armor while she wandered around for Wilderness 1 was fun, until she disappeared.
