Can you see new items on your avatar?

I watching one of the movies from http://worldofwarcraft.4players.de:1038/juniorx3videos.php
and I noticed when the char got an item and put it on (it was a cloak) they didn't show up on your
avatar. Is that just beta stuff or will the full game not show the stuff either?? If so I think that kinda
sucks. What does change it? Full armor/robe swaps?

    I see news items everywhere, but I'm a paranoid schizophrenic. So most of them are telling me to kill you before you get to me first.

    Your avatar immediately reflects what you are wearing, each piece individually. Cloaks arent finished.
