DX9 Compatible.....

in Age of Conan: Unchained

Hey guys i just used the search and found a topic on this game being dx9 compatible and was wondering if it will be from the start or will they bring out a new version of the game later down the line to support us DX9'ers ?

Thanks in advance guys just wanted to know as i might order this now if DX9 is compatible from the start.

Another question will it also be playable on Windows XP or only Vista ?

(Also will dx9 + 9x10 version be in the same box so we can switch clients if we get DX10)

    It will be.

     

    Almost every pic or vid you've seen of the game is DX9 actually.

    Ok cool can anyone else confirm this ? as i want to pre order it but am still not 100% convinced.

    DX9 is before DX10, DX10 is to new to just have the game as that, no game would do it from a pure business stand point and other reasons. point is games with DX10 is a boot if ya got it and you can still play if ya dont.

    It is DX9 & DX10 and above poster is right, most pics/vids have been DX9.

     

    Shall you need more info theresa sticky on this very forums whit numerus info, includign this u'll just have to search cuz theres tens of articles, reviews, videos, screenshots, and well... everything.

    Ok cool least i know i dont have to go vista or dx10 at this time to start playing.

    althought i cant be sure on this info, but i think you should expect shader model 3, mind you i dont know about that, nor heard anything, im using to base my decision on the current trend of advancing graphics.

     

    Also for the question is it the same box, yes. Its not like a Mac version or a PC version its a graphics options, same deal with 64 bit and 32, its 64 if it can use and support it and 32 if not.

    I've heard around Shadel Model 2 and up, especially with games like Guild Wars (1.1 pixel shader) and LotrO (1.4 pixel shader), thing is basically if your PC can play Oblivion you will be ok.

    Thanks for all the replies guys hehe i think if i cant be certain about it being the same box and stuff ill wait till the day of release and go in to the store and look at the back of the box hehe then i will have my answer.

    But for now ill keep looking around
