I am really looking forward to playing EQ2 and I need to upgrade my laptop in order to handle the intense graphics.  Since I travel for work I need to play with a mobile unit.  I have been researching the purchase of a Sager notebook or possibly an alienware.  I have seen a disturbing amount of negative feedback on the alienware laptops and customer service.  Does anybody care to share any advise or suggestions.  I am trying to get the best laptop I can in the $2500 price range?

    I believe the site is www.cyberpowered.com or something close to it. They make really good custom computers, Way better then Alienware(ripoff prices)  if your willing to spend 2500,you'll get it made over at the cyberpowered place.

    Why does it have to be a laptop?

    Imagine what "real" PC you can get with that money.

    I travel for work over 40 weeks per year.  I have a good PC at home but I am only able to use it on the weekends.  A good laptop will be my main source of access to the game.

    definately go to cyberpower. they have the best prices for good gaming laptops.

    Thanks, that is a great looking laptop!

    How much weight would you lend to user upgradeable graphics cards in a notebook?  The radeon 9700 256mb ddr is the best mobile card I have seen out currently and I hope it will last at least a couple of years without games requiring more.  My wife isn't going to let me upgrade for another 2 years minimum.

    That laptop has a super slow HD.  Get a 7200RPM at least.

    well, he can allways scroll down on that page and switch the hard drive to the 60GB 7200rpm one, and that laptop has a better graphics card than my desktop lol. It has a Radeon 9700 Pro 256mb and all i got is a radeon 9600xt 128mb image well, at least if he gets this he'll be doing some serious gaming if he's on the road image
