Is Rested xp in the game, and if so, how does it work?

Anyone know how Vanguard performs their rested xp? I recall hearing a couple months back that they implemented it for all three spheres, each getting their own store of rest xp. Is it like 15% of a level every 24 hours? And do you have to log out in a city or inn to get it?

Thanks in advance.

Yes.  Rest experience is in the game for all 3 spheres.  I am not quite sure how much rest expereince you can collect up at any one given time.  I do know that if I don't play one of my alts for a long time, I can go back to it and I will have rest experience for at least 1 full level.

Logging out in a town does increase the rate of rest experience you get while offline.  For the most part, just about any village you come across is flagged to give you the bonus rest experience as a city.  It tells you when you enter the area.

After 3 month of working away i came back and my 37 ranger just dinged 45 and i have eventually caught up with my rest xp.

basicly rest xp is a 30% bonus or thereabouts to the mob you kill it is pureley on kills though and no bonus for quest completion my advice roll all your alts at begining log em out in a town and just play em as n when i think my 17 warrior probably has enough rest xp to last right through to 40ish now.

When you camp in an outpost, I believe the rest exp builds up at about 1% per hour logged.  Not sure of the rate outside an outpost, though is is significantly less.

ah ok, so it's a flat 1% eh? I know in EQ2 your rest xp is worth less and less, like 10 hours of logging out will get you rested xp for a full lvl in the early teens, but at lvl 30 it will barely get you a bubble.

And is there a limit to the rested xp you can store? Or can you store up 5, 10, 20 lvls? From the above posts it sounds like there's no limit!

Playing around with alts it appears the rested exp limit you can store is 1.5 levels for adventure and around 1 level for crafting.

I came back from being away for about 4 months and I noticed the rest exp.  I still haven't burned it off on any of my characters.  I think my main must have a month or two of rest exp bonus saved up.  :)

someone in game said 3 levels is the limit, so now i'm pretty confused onto what is the actual number.

it definately isnt 3 levels as i said earlier i was away for 3 months and i had 8 entire levels of rest xp + a bit of change and that was on a 37 ranger i have so far done 10 levels on my cleric who is now 16 and still have at least 16-17 as a full level.

IMO i dont actually think there is a cap.

hm, so when you lvl up you immediately see you have another full lvl of rested xp? and you're going pretty fast? i mean, if you had 3 levels, and you played a few hours a night but logged out in town for 20 hours every day, then you might be getting back the rested xp you've spent. i don't know how you play, i'm just curious. because if there is indeed no limit, i'll just make a handful of alts and leave them be for a month.

Heres what im doing at the moment.

Due to the birth of my 1st child playtime has become very restricted midweek.

I have a whole host of alts that are low level, last friday i played my monk 9-10 i then played him again last night and he had about 80% of a level worth of rest xp, Dinged him to 11 then jumped on my 10 warrior who i hadnt played in about 2 weeks got him to 11 and he still had at least 1 full bar of rest xp.

I would say its fairly easy with a whole host of alts to permenantly have some rest xp on them the only problem then is dont expect to get a single toon to high level any time soon as i said earlier with the ranger i only had 8 levels worth of rest xp because i had been working away since rest xp's introduction a few months ago.

ill grind of the rest xp on a couple of my toons tonight across varying levels and then leave them overnight see if they all accumulate it at the same rate and see if i can get a rough figure

well that all sounds good. being able to store up unlimited rest xp is a wonderful thing for me. i even thought to, between 1 month subscriptions, stop paying for a week or so before i renew. just do something else that week, then when i return my main will have a ton of rest xp waiting for me.

I had something like 1½ - 2 lvls of rested XP after something like 1 month and a week break.

But I don't know if I actually was in a place where I get rested XP faster, there was some houses though.

I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.
