Hmm, PVP has dueling within instances available for those who consent. I know there is a toggle option to play full PVP so you are not safe within even towns/HUBs, or at least I am pretty sure that is what I read. If the website was available I would get you the link for that. I would not blame them for taking down the forums while they are in crunch mode tho, considering that during Beta, when they took down the server for an hour people went to the forum to flood them and spam them. Easier to focus on getting the game functioning, and deal with the children later.

Actually, it sort of does. If the game servers are down, then everyone and their dog is visiting the website to find out why, thus overloading the website. Amazing how these chain reactions work, eh?

Heh, no, it is "Ridiculous" but that is cool. Not a grammar nazi. Only saying something since you asked. Yeah, I am disappointed. I have to go to work in an hour now so am going to miss out on whatever event may happen when they get things running. No need to blow my top tho. It does happen, and I am sure they will do something to try and atone for the displeased customers. They have enough experience in the business to know it is important to do some sort of compensation.

Has anyone found any cool items yet? The best i've gotten is two orange items off one of the first bosses (the first time you go through a hell rift, i can't remember the boss name). Unfortunately, neither were for my class
Picked up a couple unique (5 star/yellow) items, but they are guns, which is third on my list of characters. Blades and Magi first! There is a lot of potential in it all tho. It really does take me back to the days of playing Doomablo.

No but i died like twice in a hellrift and resurrected using 500 palladium the first time. The second time i just resurrected as a ghost and found out its actually the same as the paid ressurection except its free. = Yes, im a noob (:

I did get a kick out of the boss in the first hellgate who drops roughly 30 items/coin. haha.
Legendary is better and Unique I thought was the best, but I got a unique belt that must be bugged because it gives me -119% health regen. It kills me quicker than monsters rofl.

Yeah, when you are looking at the item, the "Box" that the stats are in with the colored border, in the upper left corner are stars. Green is 1, Blue is 2, Orange is 3, Unique is 5. I have never seen a 4 star item. I imagine just like in Diablo, there are low level and high level items of every quality.
I bought at EA store and tried to download but I guess being in the open beta it saw I had the software or something. I used the website to put in my code to register the purchase onto my account and it did two things: 1. Said activation is not possible. 2. Put on my account that a key was associated with it. So I wonder if I am in limbo at this point being it doesn't let us play with the servers down. Makes me a bit concerned.
If you are still having trouble, here's what I did.
1.Uninstall the beta
2.Start the install from the EA downloader
3.Ignore the "set up account" screen during install
4.Go to EA customer service and get unlock code from "purchase details"
5.Log into HGL website (when it's up) and enter the unlock code as your registration key

I had just made it to the millinum station when the servers went down..
I cant wait for them to come back so i can explore further
Wait till you find a "treasure passageway" randomly in some maps, no enemies just gold all over the floors. My first one i picked up 3,500 gold.
I got 10k from a treasured passage in beta.
are they always in the elite passageways or can they spawn outside of them?
Awesome. This is why I like this game. The devs understand the psychology of loot and the incentive it provides.
I had a hidden passageway that lead to an elite that lead to a treasure.. it was a long walk back to the surface lol
personal relocation device didn't work? I wasn't able to get mine to work in a hellgate. I guess there are some restrictions...
