probably starcraft.
Hope its a new IP though. Doubt will will hear anything concrete within a year. Depends how long its been in development
I doubt WoW2. Possibly starcraft if they are using their own IP. Diablo might be a possibility, but I think they'd probably want to go for a different genre than fantasy until WoW is dead.

I doubt theyre designing a world of warcraft 2 since its got insane amount of subscribers even if it may be declining. I read somewhere before wow was released that they would be satisfied with 500k -800k subscribers and it was what they actually were expecting so i wouldent be too worried if i still held those thoughts.
Also they said they wanted to release quite a few expansions to continue the wow lore (there isnt any i know but ssshhh i didnt say anything) so they wont make another world of warcraft including EVERYTHING people have done in the original world of warcraft as its easier to continue the game as it is.
Last comment about WOW 2 if it really was WOW 2 then all it would be is WOW with last years computer systems in mind when its being designed. So a graphic revamp is all it will be.
This leaves other IP's they may be developing or a starcraft mmo but i think theyre going to keep that single player as you can see with Starcraft 2.
I still have the product catalogue from wc3 in 2002 which shows wow coming soon so i guess well have to wait for starcraft 2's product catalogue xD

Interesting, to say the least. Although I'm not a big fan of WoW, I have to admit they did a damn good job with it. I said as much when I was beta testing it. At least they release solid games. Their biggest launch issues that I can recall was the fact that they weren't ready for the shear numbers they pulled in. It was way more than they were prepared for, and you can't really fault them for that.
I'll definitely keep an eye on anything that blizz is putting out in the future.

they did a good job with WoW. Would be nice though if they released a sandbox kind of game. One can only dream though

Blizzard has 3 smash IP, they dont need a new IP, starcraft online or diablo 3 would sell just as well as world of warcraft online.

Well, they have WoW for the warcraft, SC2 is coming soon for that IP, and if they decided to go with diablo, it's another fantasy-game where you have to get the phat lewtz. I hope to see a new IP from blizzard, i love what they have, but i would love it more to see them add a new IP.

Personally I think Blizzard new MMO will not be Starcraft or Diablo but Rock & Rock Racing Online (RRRO). With Motor City Online and Auto Assault closed, Blizzard knows that the market is ripe for an awesome racing / car combat online game.
Job listings at Blizzard for a "Next Gen MMO" made all the news sites back in April too.
Blizzard always has a bunch of games in development but almost all are started and cancelled without the public ever knowing about them. They dont want another StarCraft Ghost fiasco on their hands.
I think we are now entering the SCi-Fi age of MMORPGs....which is a good thing IMO.
They said their next mmorpg would not be like wow so i doubt it would be wow2. Anyways them saying it will be console and PC puts me off.
God no, they've already turned the genre into a steaming pile of mindless zero risk trash IMO - although given, it is highly polished trash.
Though with any luck this time round they can come up with some new idea's instead of simply cloning EQ - then it may be a whole different story.

Oh man m8, i know exactly what you're talking about. It seems most of the ppl here don't even remember R&R Racing. It was an aaawsome game i still own the original game from SNES even today. I would like to see a MMORPG racing game too. Auto Assault was a great try but from wrong creators (they didn't play their own game, ridiculous).
As i said i would like to see a MMORPG racing game made by Blizzard that would be something veeery different.

Diablo would have an huge change. Even though Hellgate London is not rocketing off well, but that is becouse the game has it's faults. There is still an huge market for that type of MMO and even better it will have an complete differand type of players then WoW has. Does not mean poeple who play WoW will not play an potential Diablo MMO, but most likely will not unsub from WoW.
Starcraft MMO might however take away subs from WoW, unless it is an Planet Side type of MMO. Would actualy also be great and the setting would lend itself to that.
I think it is pretty unlikely that the new game will be a Diablo game. The word on the street was that Blizzard North was working on some new games and they got cancelled when all of the Blizzard North guys quit and founded Flagship Studios.
I have stated this before and I will continue to believe it until I hear otherwise:
If Blizzard was in the process of making a new Diablo game they would not be very happy with Flagship currently. Flagship uses the Diablo name in a lot of advertising (which you can not do without the consent of the actual IP/Trademark owner) and both Hellgate and Mythos are extremely similar to Diablo.
Honestly I wouldn't expect to ever see another Blizzard Diablo game. Diablo 1 was made by Bill Roper and his guys before they even became Blizzard North, the same teams then made Diablo 2 and the expansion pack. When they left I think any chance of another Diablo Game left with them.
I think that the new MMO from Blizzard will either be a Lost Vikings IP game or a New IP. I doubt it will be a Starcraft MMO.

If they follow their pattern it will be World of StarCraft. I’d like to see if they can make a MMO that is actual fun this time. You never know, could happen.
