Serioulsy... y do u guys play this game? I've tried it myself and personally it's nothing compared to GW
and you guys should play GW for a couple o' reasons:
1.)Its free, none of that $14.99 monthly crap
2.)Its awesome
3.)Graphics are way better
4.)Its awesome
5.)I told you so

I tried Guild Wars first, before WoW. When I started WoW, it didn't take me long to realise that here was a much bigger world, with far more depth.
Is guild wars still full of little kids who can't afford the $14.99 monthly fee (which is a pittance to anyone with a decent job). In which case you can keep them.

I've played GW and I truely did enjoy it. However, I prefer WoW to GW because;
1) You can jump
2) The entire game is public (with a few instances)
3) The game background is full of entertaining little hidden (or not so hidden) jokes.
4) The graphic animations are broader
5) Player interaction with any class is greater (more buttons/spells/abilities)

My dog barks some. Mentally you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me.
Hey, I tried to get into gulid wars, then I pressed my space bar, and nothing happened. Then I tried some of the content out...or lack there of...then I went and played some more WoW.

I'm not even a fan of WoW, i can't stand the cartoon graphics but i will say this....GW is not a real mmo, i played for a few months and had fun but it gets old so quickly and the lack of depth and immersion really gets on my nerves. If you have to choose between WoW and GW i'd definitely lean towards WoW.
If you want a game with more solid aspects to it go with eq2(only problem=zoning) or wait for vanguard to clean itself up a bit more.
1) The cost of GW's and all its expansions equals many months of any MMORPG......
2) Some feel WOW is awesome, so its a push
3) Matter of opinion, but you can't take any game seriously that restricts movement and doesn't have jumping
4) Actually, I grew bored pretty quick...after a two months or so....
5) Meh, I'm playing EVE now, anyways....

IM sure that GW is cool. But comparing WoW to GW is comparing apples to oranges. GW is PVP based, WoW is PVE

If you do not like the game then thats fine you have the right to your opinion, but obviously those of use reading this forum enjoy the game.
As to why I play(ed) WoW instead of GW:
1) 15 dollars a months is not a lot of money
2) I find guild wars less than awesome its a boring game, and I personally think plugging a game in a generating a level capped pvp character is a flawed concept that allows all the young children who play to jump into pvp with little or no skill
3) I don't think the graphics are better
4) refer to three, and why did you bother with 4 and 5 if you were adding nothing of substance to your post
5) refer to 4
1 - Not free! There is no monthly subscription, but by the time you have bought the game, expansions, add-on packs etc you may as well be paying one. Even their "14 day" trilogy trial is only a 14 day trial if you play 42 minutes a day, Hmmm.
2 - Can't agree or disagree as i haven't played it, but good for you if you like it
3 - Again, without playing it i can't say otherwise, but i personally enjoy the WoW graphics style as it lends itself very well to the gameplay.
4 - Yep, i think you mentioned that
5 - No idea what that is supposed to mean.
Really!! It is great that you love the game so much, but to troll all other forums saying the same thing over and over again gets real old, real fast! Go play the game and leave us to ours, have fun
It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
Ive played on and off since release and I have to say im still a fan mostly to do with the people ive met.
For me MMO's can be everything you ever wanted but if you dont have guildies/clan or whatever to have a few laughs with then the point of the game is moot.
Also to be honest i like a bit of an easy grind WoW offers. its such an easy game. you mainly require time plus some help from other players to get ahead. theres a reason why it hit so big when it did.
Blizzard looked at what made alot of the favourite online games that came before it popular and didnt innovate on it but just tried to do what they did wrapped up in a shiney package. And i for one like that shiney package as ive always been a fan of the warcraft series.
I'm not a WoW fan but this is pathetic :P.
?
Airslayerx, please accept my full apology for not having your opinion. I should be ashamed of myself for having my own taste. How dare I actually enjoy a game! I'm going to go uninstall WoW right now and go buy GW because clearly your view is the only right one.
I sometimes wish WoW would offer that feature so the folks like me who are hardcore loners and liek to do things themselves can do outdoor quests. Course i dont certianly mean raids and high end isntances like Karazhan. I forsee many a wipe if u had a group of just npc people and not real people. Doing outdoor quests i could see happening tho.
And yeah Guild wars still costs alot with buying the game and expansion packs. So i doubt you were able to drive many hardcore fans of Wow like me away. However props to you on the attempt ya filthy troll. PEACE!
Hmm you brought SO many good points to this fourm. Thank you so much!
I've personally "converted" 2 former Guild Wars players. Didn't take much, just asked them to try WoW.
erm i play both wow and gw... u cant relate one to the other seriously
