Just wanted some honest feedback be it postive or negative from those that have played or are playing to help me make a purchasing decision between HG:L or Fury.
Thanks

I briefly replied in the Fury forum part, but I probably should give you more details:
Fury:
Pros: fast paced PvP only game, skill based game, no fixed classes, statistics and ladders
Cons: unpolished and not ready for release, only a few PvP modes with a minimum of maps, shallow, very low population, has performance issues
Hellgate:
Pros: mostly PvE game in the form of mindless dungeon crawling fun, good storyline, great game for explorers and loot addicts, polished and looks good
Cons: no real sense of playing multiplayer (since you can solo all the way, which most people do), horrible chat window (probably is the reason why the multi in multiplayer gets lost)
For me personally, Hellgate is a lot more fun than Fury.

I regret buying Fury. I played it for about a week and thought it was boring and repetitive. No matter how much strategy you think your doing with the many skills it still becomes a button masher.
I just started playing Hellgate and I love it! I was surprised how much fun I was having. It has that same addicting feeling that I got out of the Diablo 2 series.
In essence, it was released a bit early. There are a few crash bugs, and the interface is very retro and not up to modern MMO standards. However, it runs very smoothly, I feel it is very polished, and it is quite fun to play. I felt around level ten that the levels were getting a little monotonous, but right after that I went to three new areas that were quite different from the standard environments up to that point. I don't think I can make a truly informed decision until later in the game, but as of now it's looking like a winner. The real key is how well the interface and other MMO elements are developed and released in the coming months. We've been spoiled by the polish of wow, so every game has this raised bar to meet, and HGL doesn't quite meet it yet.
As of now, it's about 2/3 of a game. But it is still fun to play and kept me playing four hours later last night then when I wanted to go to bed. If a game can do that to me, it's doing something right. People tend to focus on the negatives, but I can say there are many positives and much of this game is very very solid (at the expense of minor polish). It just needs a bit more work.
