Well.. you might like LOTRO for PvE. FFXI is another, and although I haven't played in years, still seems like a great option. But remember in terms of level pacing, LOTRO=easy, FFXI=hard. So if you're more casual, then go for LOTRO. There's also DDO if you're into D&D. All are pretty good in regards to PvE.
It just depends on what you like.
Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
Since you are new to MMOs, if you haven't played it yet just play WoW. You can pick up PvE server and won't have to PvP at all if you don't want to.
Also EQ2 and Lotro are both good PvE games worth testing. But there is a reason why WoW has much more players than those 2 combined, so I suggest at least testing WoW.
FFXI I wouldn't suggest to anyone new to MMOs, it's way too hardcore.
EDIT: If you have supercomputer or better, you could also test Vanguard. But that game is still not good enough yet, so better to try WoW, EQ2 and Lotro before it, and it only as last alternative /EDIT
Im new to MMORPGS but just wanted to see if there are any great PVE games because i dont like pvp much but i like teaming up with nice ppl
Welcome,
Just a few questions that might grant you more help in finding a mmorpg that you might like.
1.Are you new to gaming or just mmorpg's?
2. If you already into games what type of games do/did you like/love?
3. What type of system are you running?
There are allot more question to ask , but think this might give a good idea what you might like in certain mmorpg's when we know these things about you. It's not required though but like i said i feel it might help in what people could advise to you.
Well im not new to gaming one of my first games that i can remember was warcraft the real time strategy game ive gone from that to jagged alliance to all diffrent kinds of strategy and even got into some shooters like half life but can only play those types of games for short bursts. So ive heard that i am a casual gamer.
And also ya i like games that are fairly easy to play. SO..
1.) im new to mmorpgs so easy is key
2.)Like i mentioned above jagged alliance was one of my favorite games (i mostly played the scenerio editor and made my own maps cause the official game was way to hard) Ive played the sims and loved that for a time but it does get dull. I think the main reason i like mmorpgs is because you play with other ppl and you dont feel so alone. So ya for computer those were my main 2. So after hearing myself talking i think i like games that are very sandbox typeish.
3.)My system is about 5 years old but it was custom built its an athlon XP 2.8 or so with the best agp graphics card i could find. with a less then a gig a ram. this is all aproximated but fairly accurate.
Actually, I would also suggest these to a new MMO gamer. In that exact order indeed
They're all the same really in terms of Gameplay but WOW is a much higher polished standard and is the only one of the 3 to have worthwhile balanced PVP. I'd defo suggest playing WOW first....

I'll second FFXI, which I still play. He's not kidding, though, FFXI is set to "hard mode" compared to most PvE MMORPGs. That's one of the things I like about it.

SO maybe WoW and LOTR are the only best bets?
But i heard that EQ2 is a difficult game?
