LF sci-fi game, im done with fantasy ATM
Hi im new to sci-fi and was looking around the games list, the games that appealed to me were, star wars galaxies, anarchy online or tabula rasa.
The first thing that i saw about SWG was how many people have been putting it down, saying its become a poor game, this hasn't really put me off but i was just wondering how many people are left playing it i dont want to be on and find that im the only one on in the region.
Anarchy online i haven't really looked at much, although i see its free which is always good. I was also wondering how many people play that roughly and weather its any good joining.
Lastly i saw tabula rasa i haven't heard much about this game although it looks ok, the only thing thats putting me off is that the monthly fee is higher than most other MMO's.
Ive been playing guild wars for aorund 1 and a half years now and have gotten pretty bored of it. i started playing WoW till lvl 30 but just couldnt be bothered to start another fantasy again, so i went back to guild wars. I then started on LOTRO liked it but after aobut 1-2 months it wouldnt work on my computer (something to do with forewalls i think) so i got intouch with the support group but was just going around in circles so i gave up. so i think i would like to start a sci-fi as i would rather live in the future than live in the past.
Anyway there is my main points i wa swondering is anyone could help me choose a game

All three games that you mentioned are good games.
Granted, SWG is not as good as it once was, but I had never played any of the former versions of the game, I would say that it's pretty damn good, and a bit too addictive. Check out the Bria or Ahazi servers (Bria for PvP, Ahazi for RP, IMO) for good populations.
Anarchy Online is a fantastic Game. The problem is that it is old, and it shows it. The graphics are so dated they're hard to look at some times. But if you're looking for a game with content that you'll never work your way through, this is it. You could play for years and never see everything the game has to offer.
Tablua Rasa is a lot of fun. It's nothing like other games, in that combat is fast and furious (None of that press attack and then spam specials while your character does his thing, taking 30 seconds to kill a mob). It plays kind of like a third-person-shooter. The game is very new, and probably has some issues since it just went live (I havn't played in about 6 weeks, back in beta). Some people get bored with it after a few weeks, some become ravenously addicted. It really depends on weather it grabs you or not.
Another game that's not for everyone, but great fun for some (and has a fantastic story that evolves within the game) is MxO, or Matrix Online. Check out the Recursion server if you live in the US. You can probably find a 14-day trial key on this site, or the one in my sig.
Hope this helps you out. These are some of my favorite games, since I've never really been into the phantasy clones. Age Of Conan may change that though...it looks like it will be one hell of a game.
