Playing WoW on and off for 2 years now and I finaly hit the sweet spot where I like the things that are in the game, don't cry for things that aren't and have few hours of fun every week.
I was realy jaded at 60 because I didn't want to raid, and I still don't, but since the arena system and diferent ways to get good gear (heroics too) I'm doing what I always wanted, having fun. My grinding for gear is now 20 arena matches a week and that is almost as good as sliced bread...
I see myself playing it until something diferent comes out, something sci-fi maybe. WAR and AoC look interesting but it's more of the same but with a twist, not enough to start from scratch in a new game with a new character, even in WoW, I only have 1 maxed character
I still have 2 months payed in for wow (3 month subscription), but a few days ago I was tempted again to install a trial version of EVE. I found the game boring before, but now that I work almost twice as much as I did at my former trials, it seems to be the perfect for players who does not have more time than 2-3 hours a day to play.
I am seriously thinking about buying eve, but will only play it utnill Bioware finishes it's mmo.
Not playing an MMO at all. Depending on what the "suprise" annoucment might be for Face of Mankind I might pick it up again. Depending whatever the comunity will grow.
I've Been playing Guild Wars for 9 months now and i can see myself playing it for a long while because im Playing Guild Wars as something to do for Guild Wars 2 which Im Problably going to play for years, but if i strike money i would start playing World of Warcraft but still play Guild Wars
EQ2. I keep trying the new stuff and wind up coming back here. Not really hyped for any of the upcoming MMO's so likely will stay here for quite awhile yet.
EVE Online atm.... will probably continue to play indefinitely, because its a game that you can easily put on hold (while still training your skills up daily) to spend some time visiting other worlds.
Next year I'll probably try AOC, WAR, AION and Chronicle of Spellborn..... if they can actually get one of these games released.

At the moment im not playing any MMO - Im waiting until ive finished Crysis.
Im a student (18) and I've just started at Uni (in England), So I havnt got huge amounts of money to spare. However, Ive decided that after I get bored of Crysis I will start subscribing to EVE Online. And then I expect I will be playing for many years. - EVE is soo huge, more so than WOW. There is no level system whereby you can reach the best level. There will allways be new skills to train - Estimates have indicated that it could take as long as three years for a character to be at the top level of all available skills. By that time, many more skills will have been added.
Ive played about five 14 day trials and totally love it: I guess im more of a mature intellectual type: I know some people find it too boring and thats fine: We dont want it getting full of 'wow noobs'.
In EVE we get quite a few of what we call 'wow noobs' - thats 12 year olds used to playing WOW that cant work anything out of them selves; eg Asking 'How do I dock my ship at this station?' - (Its a simple right click the station, press Dock.) I often wonder how they managed to install the client if they are so lacking in common sense!!??
Anyway... If you are thinking about trying an MMO, give EVE a try. If you are slightly more intellectual than stupid, you may find the vast complexity suits you. Also the graphics are waaay nicer than WOW. - Soon to be updated to DX10 and they're adding station interiors (at the moment you can't walk around fps style inside stations.)
Well, I have two on the go, my best mate finally managed to get me into WoW, its fun enough, but i can't see myself playing pass the point where my game card runs out (within the next month or so). I just got into Tabula Rasa (being on the Beta, and on prerelease, and finally with my collector's edition). This is much more to my taste, with a good mixture of action and mmo style play, so I can see myself playing it for the foreseeable future .
Planetside is my on-off subscription game. I never play it for more than a few months, but have come back to it again and again for 4 years now. I don't see myself ever stopping until either another FPS can match it in scale, content, and freedom, or it just dies out completely.
I also play Voyage Century Online, which is another good on-off game, very laid back and free. I probabaly wont stop playing that either unless a similar F2P game comes out offering more variety somehow.
On-off games can last you forever if you give yourself breaks every now and then. Free games make the best on-off games because you don't have to worry about playing to get your moneys worth.
I'll probably play LOTRO 'til the servers shut down [or the world ends in 2012]. The three reasons for this are: Lifetime sub, so I can log in whenever and just play - it doesn't feel like I have to play to get my money's worth [like a monthly sub does]; my wife plays, too - it's her first MMO and she loves it ["So I don't run out of lives? If I die I get another life every time?! This is so much better than Ms. Pacman!"]; and, for a casual player, it is a great game!
I'll trial Vanguard and Conan when available, but like DDO [which I enjoy soloing in ] without the lifetime sub option, I'll probably only play for a few months even if i like them...
I will probably play it until Chronicles of Spellborn goes gold. Tbh, I would jump ship tomorrow if there was another worthwhile option. At least with the new expension there is plenty new to see and there will lots of low level characters around for 1-3 weeks to see it with.
I actually resubbed to VG last week out of pure curiosity as to the state of the game (I don't put much weight in what I read on this site what with all the axes that get ground here) and have just come away feeling sad again. It really now isnt the broken game the haters say it is, and the truth is I really really could love this game alot if the player base was larger, they dropped in new character models, and fixed a few issues. We will see what the future holds there though I guess. What player base there is tho is great, I must say.
Eve online currently. such a great game i dont know if ill ever leave. Ill try WAR out and if thats good ill leave but I dougt it will be as good as EVE
Guild Wars. I've owned the game since launch, but I've never really played it. So I am playing Prophecies right now and plan to play Factions next, then EoTN, and lastly GWEN.
Whether or not I make it through all of them I don't know. I've played it all for P2P games and I am tired of them. I doubt any new MMORPG's are coming out soon that are good enough to pull me away from GW. Besides, I think I want to start playing the free trials first anyways. I've spent hundreds of dollars on MMORPG's that I've never played longer than 1 month.
MMORPG's w/ Max level characters: DAoC, SWG, & WoW
Currently Playing: WAR Preferred Playstyle: Roleplay/adventurous, in a sandbox game.
Just started Tabula Rasa. So far kinda fun but doubt I will really make it past the trial period. Also subscribed to Dungeon Runners, fun for an hour or two a week..but not really much of a story or game to follow. Just waiting to see what next years games are gonna bring us.

been playing EvE - online for soon 2 years, and i can see me keep on playing for ever.

Playing Eve online and have been for the last 18 months. I'm looking out for a new MMO but nothing out there makes me want to stop playing Eve.
I support Belgiums efforts to get noticed ... at all.
No MMO at all and I'll play that until AoC or Heroes Journey is released. Whichever comes first. :P

I just started on WoW again. Don't know how long that will last, but we'll see.

EVE Online rocks my socks.

Everquest II. I'll stick with it unless something amazing comes out. Not to say I won't be playing other stuff at the same time.
Playing Vanguard atm, also have a lifetime sub to Lotro.
Bugs and performance aside Vanguard offers me more depth than other MMOs and the prospect of more depth to come.
Besides.. I've capped out in most of the others, grinding faction/raids isn't something I can do for more than a week before I need new scenary.
Will play Vanguard until either A) it turns into a shallow piece of crap or Kotor Online comes out.

Started playing EQ2 again. I'm trying out the open PvP on the Nagafen server. Hopefully it will tide me over until WAR, AoC and Darkfall are released.
