For its time, the N64 was the best console ever. I still have mine, and I'll never give it away. It had some absolutely amazing games that I still love to play, and it broke a lot of new ground.
For the current generation, though, it's a toss-up between the PS3 and the 360. I play my 360 more now, but my anticipations for 2008 are really leaning towards the PS3, so it balances out. Although I have nothing specifically against the Wii as a console, I personally don't like it that much and have no intentions of buying one (Though it's at least better than the GameCube. I still can't believe I actually spent money on that crap...). I'm more of a "hardcore" gamer, so the more traditional systems will always appeal more to me.
