WoW doesn't Suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why WoW doesn't suck!!!!!!!! Things that Made WoW fun

Note: All of these are possible in WOW and are fun as hell and I did them all

1. Buying a discombobulator ray, which turns people into leper gnomes then chase that guy and beat them with fishing pole while spamming /chicken, which did a chicken emote at them.

2. Eating Savory Delights (Fish) turns you into a pirate, take over boats that transport the opposite faction to the other continent (alot of players used these before the expansion).

3. Get a raid together and attack the enemies city. However, Everyone must be wearing Santa Hats and riding reindeer and the only weapon you could use was a pitchfork from Hillsbrad.

4. Going to Blackrock Mountain and take over the BWL tunnel. Have all mages and priests, when the opposing factions raid zoned out. AOE until they all die.

5. Get everyone in your guild to go to the Drag.. A part of the horde major city have them jump up and down together and AOE until the server crashes.

6. Go to the noob starting zone as a rogue and using an exploding sheep. Control it to look like a mob so new people will attack it thinking its a mob then boom they blow up. :)

7. Mind control people off a cliff :).

By the way I have too much time on my hands Please put your off the wall things in this topic, that you did in WOW.

I freeze trap people and /dance with them, that is before they shrunk down the max frozen time in pvp to 5 secs, now i'm lucky if i can blow them a kiss and run away... Doesn't really match your stuff but it's all i can think of at the moment.

    I am:

    Exar - Dark Elf - Lucan D'lere (eq2) [canceled]

Pulling high lvl boss mobs to low lvl areas was always mayhem.

I personally think WoW is a game you have to slow down to enjoy. You can't just rush into the game, do everything and get to max level in one day, then expect there to be something else to do without some friends to hang out with.

It's not that the game is thin, it's just that everything is highly accessible, and so much so that you really don't have to look far to find something to try. The game's content is in plain sight for all to see, so you don't have to wander around to find anything to do. I guess that's a good and bad thing, depending on how people play.

Of course, those things quickly turn old if you turn it into a grind-fest to find all the easter eggs, or you've done them more than once.

The people that hate this game and say it sucks have played the crap out of it, and they're either too jaded to dig for more stuff to do, or they've honestly done everything at least twice.

It's quite possible to get bored with the game if you play it nonstop or you've played it for an extended period of time.

World of Warcraft has some things for hardcore players (instance grinding, PvP, arenas, etc.), and some things for casual players (interesting quests, an intuitive interface, and easy levels through questing). But again, any game can become boring when over-played, regardless of your play style.

...like speeding down an old country route, the little details get blurred and you're only looking at the road. You'll think the trip is boring because you're only concentrated on getting to where you want to go. Apparently, WoW is more of a Zen game.

Frankly, I'm sick of this game. I've played and over-played it and I didn't pace myself, so I ended up quitting and moving on when it got repetitive. I've got nothing against it, though. I didn't have any friends playing, so there wasn't anything to do except grind solo quests for me.

It's obviously a game that you cannot play without friends, and definitely one you shouldn't rush through. That's all I can say about it.

Also it gets boring after a while, compare WoW to some other MMO's out there... Just because WoW got lucky and a lot of people play it, does NOT mean its the first of a kind....

i played wow for 2 years and it is the best mmo because it isnt all that crap asian grind fest as it have pvp battle ground from lvl 10-70 so if your getting pissed of cause u want to get to the next lvl and keep die just go into the battlegrounds rape some other noobs and get back to grinding, perfect stress releiver.

Played: Archlord, GW, RFO, Knight Online, Silkroad, WoW, Rappelz, shaiya, Flyff, Fury, Space Cowboy, Perfect World Beta, Rakion, sword of the new world, Linage 1 and 2, Savage 1

    Playing: CSS

pvp is not very good trough, they should add a lot more battlegrounds and maybe the possibility to become 'arch lord'.

pve is pretty good, only the story is missing, but who cares? :)

People hate WOW because its on top right now and companies imatate winners. Consequently alot of games follow that model which then irritates people who dont like the model and find themselves hating that which is perpetuating a gaming model they dont like.

Some people just hate whos on top.

I'm sure the same people who hate WOW now hated EQ in the past in its hayday.

I hated EQ in its Hayday.

    Hating WOW won't kill it.

Killing subscribers might, but  8 million murders might get noticed.

Rather than WOW bash why not speak up about games you like explain why they are better than WOW. (NOT BY FLAMING)

Explain and expond on why your favorite game ROCKS the devil and why people should play it.

    Nough said

Look, don't get us wrong. We don't hate WoW and we don't think it's a bad game. We just think it's simply the worst thing that ever happened to MMORPG genre and a it will have a catastrophical impact on the future releases and that it's simply the most stupid game ever released right after Diablo, Fable and Dark Seed 2.

That was just a little exaggaration.

    REALITY CHECK

  • uttausuttaus Member Posts: 120

Cotastrophy ? or double edge sword?

WOW weather you like it or not, is good and bad.

Good in that large sums of money are being pumped into the MMO market.

Bad that the developers will imitate successfull models. Which will stunt the growth of innovation in MMOs over all.

So for a time being we will have a waste land of crapy to mediocre MMOs

BUT hopefully the surplus cash will trickle down to true innovators who will start to break the MOLD that we have been stuck with.

Right now most MMOs are just variations of level grind gear quest raid.

I'm sick of it too. MMOs have hugh potential hopefully some savy innovators will sway the pockets of the new money sources and give us something new.

So Yell out about the games that show innovation let people know that breaking the Mold is a good thing.

BUT for the next 2 to 5 years I expect the stunted growth of innovation due to the success of WOW will plague us.

BUT hopefully all that money brought in by WOW will trickle down to the true inovators.

Blah i sound like a broken record

Isn't that the purpose of a video game. I live a life outside of gaming that is so set and serious. WoW was my escape from the serious of real life. If I am supposed to act my age in a video game then where is the fun in that. When I played WOW it was an ESCAPE FROM REALITY. I believe the people who are ruining MMOs take them as serious as real life, which they aren't. I will never take gaming seriously, but I do play alot of video games because the serious of life is just to overwhelming so....... my emotes are like bullets MUHAHAHAHA

Yeah.. you won't find too many people that think Fable and Diablo were two of the "most stupid" games ever released....

As for the worst thing to ever happen to the MMORPG genre? Why? Hard to say something like that without backing it up.

Personally, I think Everquest was the worst thing to happen to the MMORPG genre. Why? (See I like to back up my statements) Because it created the level / raid / gear grind.

UO did not have a level / raid / gear grind. EQ did. EQ was more popular. Now, every game is a EQ clone. Gone are the days of sandbox MMORPGs. Thanks EQ, thanks. (and thanks to SWG for being the last good sandbox game.... before they changed it to be like EQ)
