which one would you prefer

VISTA or XP

    I still prefer XP. Uses less system resources, and has been around for a while, meaning most of the kinks are worked out.

    I will likely upgrade to Vista next year, when I build my new gaming rig for AoC. By then, hopefully, it will have smoothed out a bit as far as compatibility goes.

    but you do know that you would be running into problems with it

    ive got vista and mainly it sucks , but it does have few advantages

    OS/360 for the win.

    I think my microwave software is more stable than any microsoft software ever developed.

     

    But i'd go with Xp, seeing as vista has a load of problems.

    yeah, but a lot of the newer games will be using DX10. It's microsoft's way of forcing us to buy their damn bloat-ware every few years.

    i dont know about that but

    if you need microsoft office 2007 (word, excel, powerpoint, etc....) its on sale until 2008 for $60

    but the sad thing is you need  a colllege email for it

    Until I see some of my current games that I am playing or some games that are going to rock the development world utilise Vista in a big way then I will never use it.  In saying that I know EVE and other games like Crisis are going that way so I will like most upgrade to a monster card and jack another 2 gig of Ram in the rig and then try it out.   I see that my 2 gig of Ram is at 90% on some games so imagine what would happen with Vista in the background?
