Now i don't always trust Gamespots reviews specially seeing how they gave EVE a 6/10 but they're right here judging from the beta i played it was just horrible.

just to let you know a beta on any game isnt really what the finished product is and + its newer game course theres gonna be bugs and once there are more lvls to play and there are more servers FURY will be best PvP game to date

gamespot have the worst ratings just to let you know......

I would have to agree with them here...it only gets a 4.5/10 from me. Thought the game was out already though and not in beta? I played early builds of it and it was completely horrible (2/10) but this build I played today was semi decent ( got a email saying play for free for 10days or some such so figured Id give it another go). A 4.5/10 is not a totally bad score...its a below "meh'" and with some work it could be fun.

Could go into why I rate it so low but instead ill just say "Go play the game".

But with *better* alternitives that are completely free I dont see this being that huge of a game; Rakion and EXteel anyone?

PS: I hate using numbers to review a game (ie: x/10) but its much easier (less wordy) to get the message out.

The game is just so unpolished and buggy its really justified how the score is so low.

But that being said, Gamespot has terrible, TERRIBLE bias on reviews; to the point its almost disgusting! Basically, anything that receives any amount of good hype will get high scores. Recently, WoW:BC and Halo 3 got extremely undeserved highs, and its not hard to spot a reviewer that just aims to satisfy the bigger crowds.

If numbers are something to get riled up on, just stick to Metacritic for critique averages: usually more fair to judge off of, although still including bias reviews.

The people writing the reviews are carebear PvE'rs who couldn't handle the speed / skill required to play Fury and would rather do boring repeatitive instances, as far as PvP goes Fury beats all the other current MMO's hands down.

Fury lacks polish. Polish polish polish polish polish, that is what Fury lacks. The production values are SO low. Thats the first thing people look at when they play the game. And thats what fury doesnt have.

    4.5 / 10 is way too high

it's like trying to play a choppy, bug filled version of Unreal Tourney with your face ( no hands )

I don't get how this can be called a MMORPG

    it's a MOFPS at most

    and it's horrible. absolutely horrible.

the Beta lasted on my PC for an hour.

its alot better than it was in beta and I've seen other MMO's come out with hour long queues to get into the servers (WoW) and hell the servers haven't even been online (SWG).

For competitve, fun, fast and balanced PvP, fury wins hands down.

    Yup... Gamespot.

    They have WoW a 9.5 , EVE a 6 I think, and Lineage 2 a 6 aswell.

They also gave Ultima online a 4.9, and the max score ranges up to 7.3 (Different expansions) And I honestly think Ultima is worth atleast a 9.5.

Fury is not for everything, I say this all the time; If you keep getting owned cuz you suck does not mean its the games' fault.

Boy you are quick to judge, and an arrogant little bugger too. Why do you just pipe down and let people speak their minds on what they think instead of acting like no one else plays PvP but you.

infrared1, I do agree with your statement; he's being pretty arrogant but HE DOES have a very valid point.

I saw my brother wanted to play on my Fury char, he logged in, and I made him a new blank incarnation.

1 minute later he says "WTF these ppl keep healing this SUCKS!" but that did not make him stop, he came out of the game and edited his incarnation, then it was "HAHA OWNED! Cant heal now can ya?" and then "WTF im not dealing enough DAMAGE!" And now he plays with a perfectly balanced build, and now loves the challenge.

I certainly do not recommend Fury for anyone that will get bored or frustrated easily. My first day on Fury, I had a kill:die ratio of like 1:15 or something. Second day it went up to almost a 1:1. Now I find myself really pinned to my seat when fighting other tough competitors.

Wow...that's insanely harsh, for Gamespot. But not altogether inaccurate.

Fury's graphics are based off an engine we KNOW can do better. I can see dumbing it down to keep the fps rates tolerable, but that's just not happening.

The complant about the combat text and tooltips was spot-on; way too much clutter in a game whose UI should be so clean as to nearly be there at all.

And lastly the skillsets...I saw that five minutes  into playing. So many redundant skills that have little difference over others, WAY too bloated.

I dunno that I'd rip Fury that hardcore, but I wouldn't have given it a high score either.

I agree on his view on PvP. What I do not agree with is his accusations of previous posters being call carebears cuz they don't like the game. Their opinions, and, not based on the PvP aspect but on the graphics or other shortcomings. Nothing wrong with PvP. Just the game has problems right now. We see those problems and don't like, doesn't mean anyone is a, "carebear PvE'er that can't handle the speed and skill required."

Whats wrong with the graphics? I think they're great on high res version and I have around 90fps during battles with only a 256MB Radeon and 2GB's ram (xp,e6600).

Its the players that are forced to play in low render that start complaining and making comparisons to wow that need to shut up. Low render was put in so players who have old systems can play too not so the graphics look pwetty.

Whats wrong about that review is complaining about tooltips and combat text WHICH CAN BE TURNED OFF!... You don't need to be a genius to open up the menu and adjust settings. Downscoring a game for that reason is just stupid.

SKillsets =  choice. What may be garbage to you may actually be very useful to someone else requiring a +1 charge builder from a certain school that only costs x amount of EP to equip.

They may seem like a lot of duplicates but at the end of the day its more choice is all.
