OMG, I resuscribed and am having fun !!!

in Star Wars Galaxies

  A friend (a very cute friend of the female persuation), wanted to try the game and asked me to show her around.  I re-installed and suscribed, and found myself having fun.  I pretty much restarted my character being a master Ranger and nearly finished the Pistoleer grind (boy did I ever choose the useful professions). 

  Aiming now for TKA and Rifleman and decuded not to grind like crazy but go everywhere and try and have fun getting there.  And so far it is working.  I still hate some major parts of the game, but have decided not to go nuts about the parts I hate, but concentrate on the things I like.

  The bad news, my friend is not sure she likes the game and might not continue.....

    I just got master scout last week.  I'm working to master ranger and rifleman.

    I started entertainer too...  I just need to ID a lot more so I can master that...

    There's a lot of changed since pubish 9, and there's going to be a lot more with publish 10...

    I stopped playing right before Xmas... comptuer fried and well I was so close to Jedi and now im behind. Kinda hated it for that and didn't play anymore. I wish I would of kept my character now I want to play again. I had so much

    Starting clean over again... think it will be worth it?

      Can't really say if it would be worth it for others.  In February whne they gave us a 14 day try out, I was not ready to try again and the first time I logged in, I knew I would not be continuing.

      Personnally I am completely ignoring the Jedi aspect, not being a PvPer, having the most powerful character is not that important.  If ever I unlock it in the new system, I will ry it, but I will not turn my time into a Jedi grind ....

    Yah, I went back about a month ago, and it's rockin. so happy. That 3 months I took off was just what I needed.

    It does make me chuckle how everyone calls mastering professions "grinding" image I thought playing these games was supposed to fun! From what ive read most people who don't like this game go about playing it the wrong way. ie. they go for power levelling, power money making (probably where the grinding term comes from) instead of just playing and enjoying the game, having a look around and discovering stuff. This topic is pretty much proof of that! image
