looks like a interesting thing. Im a big fan of elder scrolls and always look forward to the next xpac or game. Lets just hope if this is true that it wont be ruined by all the kiddies talking about chuck norris and crap like that. Too many games in the now have already been exposed to that, please to god dont do it to this one!
well the article is crap for a start. quoting from a source it does not list. as for The MMO...they would be fools not to do it at some point in time. i expect this one will take a LONG time to develope
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds -Solid non level based game -Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
Picturing an mmo based on the way elder scrolls is currently doesn't appeal to me. I quit the game after a couple days. It just became tedious and boring. The "first mmo to give wow a run for it's money" comment was kinda dumb. Based on what? I don't see anything so far in elder scrolls that wow's stronger points offer. what, better graphics? The landscape graphics impressed me for a minute but they could have done better with indoor, character and object art.
Same tactic as the announce of GW2 and GW:EN, they went to a company which was known for wrong information. Just to watch the people's reaction (quite saddistic).
Or destructoid sees this a quick and easy way to fame....
Sigh.. hard decision...
Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't, time will tell.
You know it, the best way to realize your dreams is waking up and start moving, never lose hope and always keep up.

the rampant armies of fanboi's who'll buy it and subscribe en mass on release (think Vanguard with the "OMGZ it's Brad McQuaid making it.........oooh", and how Tabula Rasa has to promote itself as by the creator to get ppl interested).
Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed. Current mmo's grouping: tinder. swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.
Now this should be good. I have always thought Elder Scrolls would do better as an mmo. I for one get bored in the game when all you have to talk to are NPC's.. I will wait with great anticipation.

Agreed.
I just hope all of Tamriel is explorable, not just Morrowind/Cyrodiil. But it's a bit early to hope for anything.

I never played Obvlivion. I have played Morrowind, but I was a bit younger (I'm still young, I'm 13, but like from when your 10 or 11 to when your 13 you become quite a bit smarter with stuff) so I didn't really understand the game, and I thought it was a very vague game, it didn't give you much info where you need to go. Now, I most likely would've easily figured it out.
What I like about Morrowind and Oblivion is the first person view, and it's not auto-attack (auto-attack FP (first person) would be weird...)
I've always been a hater of auto-attack, which is why I've quit World of Warcraft, and Everquest II, and Starwars: Galaxies. I loved and still love the gameplay of Rakion, and it has great potential, but so far it's failing and it will most likely keep failing in Softnyx doesn't do anything with it.

Would be great news indeed! I hope they keep it sandbox.

where do I need to sign up for the beta?

I'm with you on that!!
As long as they don't try some crappy FPS like combat, I'll be SOOO happy.
Yes, it worked great for Oblivion, but becasue Oblivion is offline.
So please, Bethesda, give me traditional MMO combat!? K thanks.
The doors to the 1st elderscrolls were sometimes sealed magically with riddles here is one that i remember:
"It's the the begining of eternity to the end time and space;
From the begining of every end and the end of every place.
What am I?"
now about the game, I wonder:
If they will let us spend our points as we want.
If we can choose a hybrid class.
If NPCs will drop what they are wearing.
If we will be vampires or werewolves.
If we will kill a NPC and take over his house.
If we will make custom spells and enchants.
If they will make it a virtual world rather than the other type of MMOs these game companies are giving us.
The list goes on and on...
"The liberties and resulting economic prosperity that YOU take for granted were granted by those "dead guys"
