I dunno, but it really surprises me that IP's such as Pokemon, Digimon, Harry Potter, and Yui Gi Oh haven't been turned into MMORPG's yet. All ofthese could be turned into decent MMO's. Weird huh.
These would probably make decent F2P MMOs for kids. Just think of the in-game merchandizing opportunities. Why they could bleed those parents dry!
MMOs Played: EQ 1&2, DAoC, SWG, Planetside, WoW, GW, CoX, DDO, EVE, Vanguard, TR Playing: WAR Awaiting 40k Online and wishing for Battletech Online
all the ips like harry potter, transformers, pirates etc etc are owned by movie studios and they for the most part are clueless to the games business. if they made a game its only going to create many bad memories for the children of tomorrow.
A Robotech MMORPG would be very cool(to the ones that mentioned it). I'd do it during the Shadow Chronicles so that you wouldn't have to worry about taking the story a certain direction.

2 Of those games on yor lsit are allready MMO's.
I played Yu-Gi-Oh online. It is free for 10 duels. After that yo gotta pay. Yo make a anime school looking charachter. There was alot of low level people with extremely good cards. Just owning low level people(Think twinks(WoW) or Pure(Runescape). It was boring to say.
I saw a video of digimon online. It was a 2d(good grafics tho) top down view. Search for one.
I would think they wouldn't make a Yui Gi Oh MMO. Rather they would just make an online version of all card based games similar to how they did it in Eye of Judgment.

I actually don't really think it matters about the IP...given an IP it just means people expectations are higher than a studio can deliver upon and people already have an idea of what they want but seldom get so whinging ensues.
I would personally like it if they took a genre to give them wider scope and and made their own game.

There is actually a fan made Robotech MMO being made, but it's pretty hehe Indie.

Personally, I respect devs who create their own brand rather than taking the easy way out and riding someone else's coatails.
although it would need a little work, a hellsing MMO would be nice (google it, hellsing is an anime about a vampire who is part of an organization called "Hellsing" and hunts vampires.
you could start out either becoming a vampire my Alucard, or being Bio-Engineered to be a regenerator, or even become an artificial vampire. there would be huge PvP capabilities. and combat could be maasive "you vs army of zombies" type of fighting, it could take place in London, Scotland and Germany. it would be a good mmo in my opinion, quite a bit of material.
If you have not seen Hellsing, watch it, but try to watch the OVA version. and English Voice acting is actually good in it 0_o
Battletech (Perferably b4 the clan come and mess everthing up. I like the old school stuff) I would perfer this above all else. There is a really nice looking game that will attempt to be the best upcomming mech mmo - Force of Arms. Look it up you will be impressed.
Underworld- Would make a great RvR game Vamps vs Wolves vs Watchers (Hi-tech Human hunters)
Couple I would love to see. 1. Alan Dean Foster's commonwealth universe. Would be great to visit places like. Midworld, The blight, Prism, etc. 2. Alan dean foster's spellsinger universe Very much agree on ADF, especially commonwealth. Tons of background info there and storylines to "exploit". 4. Discworld (Terry Pratchett) Would make a good setting in some respects, but keeping gags running in a MMO is futile - so the discworld MMO would turn out to resemble "Night watch" which isn't maybe exactly a bad thing.
Known space of Larry Niven, Raymond Feists Midkemia (which originated from tabletop!), Dinotopia (want play T-Rex?) are just some others that might make a good setting.

Dragonlance and Fallout are two that I'd love to see.
Fallout MMO is in the works, last I heard.
Total War MMO... now that'd be interesting. No magic, no nonsense, just pure flesh and blood.
Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
what about online games turning into movies... i recon hellgate would make a nice horror movie :P

I'd like War40k, Necromunda, and Robotech as my top choices to see. But any great cyberpunk would be sweet.

Battlestar Galactica.
With an Engine kinda like EvEs, set after the first cylon war.
I wouldn't mind an Evil Dead Trilogy MMO.

Forgotten Realms and Fallout are the main ones I can think of that should be made. Just keep them both far away from turbine,EA and SoE.
MIMI
A dune mmo would be the be fairly easy to make with all the lore in that universe.
C&C online ftw~~
Let me just throw out a Shadowrun vote as well. I come hear from time to time and shout 'Shadowrun' for various reasons.
Arcanum (steampunk) would also be interesting.
