Your questions are a little unclear, but I would vote for less, but larger servers, if they can hold up under the pressure. There is always that fine line of happiness between, no-one being on at all and the huge masses lagging out your area and stealing all the mobs in the area, I'm sure that blizzard will provide a modest ammount of servers and then add more over time to best suit the experiance of its players.

Well, considering WoW's 24 hour days, I wouldn't be too happy having really large servers that encompassed half the country or whatnot. I wouldn't like to play at night all the time, or vice versa... and I'm sure you all would enjoy having the days revolve on a similar schedule to you.

Idunno I think having one server to cover all time zones will be good for the insomniacs. In SWG I hated it whenever I couldn't sleep so I logged on at like 4am to find all the major cities near empty. Plus I think it would be really interesting to see the ENTIRE WoW community on 1 server. (well 2 if you count the PVP server) It would be a bustling economy, and Faction based pvp would be insane. Cities would be constantly attacked and defended on the PVP servers for sure. It would be fun if the servers can handle it.

So like having one huge WoW server encompassing all time zones would eliminate "prime time" on servers. All the time would be primetime, because its gonna be 7-10pm 4 times lol.

i think that there should be more than just a few servers for a few reasons.
if there is more than a few servers, then you have the ability to pick the one you like. some servers could have differant rules. for instance, to take all the pvp servers, you could have differant types of pvp rules on all the pvp servers.
one thing that i hope wont come into affect is the restraint to not be able to pick the server of your choice. seeing the message ''ERROR: SERVER FULL, PLEASE CHOOSE ALTERNATE SERVER'' would just suck.
also i would hate to see serves set to geologicle areas, and depending on where you live, thats the server you play on. that would also suck. in EQ (yes im sorry for the comparison) they have guilds that are comprised of people from all over the states. and im sure that there is a guild somewhere that has poeple in it from all over the world. and what if you were to move... dont get me started there
also, like it was mentioned before me, think of all the lag that you would get in popular zones... wow, is all i have to say. 600+ people in a zone at a time, that would be insane.
Good Point. I also don't see much of a problem if the servers were at least differentiated between continents or whatnot... I woudn't mind a 2-3 hour time difference (i honestly don't get you people with your 'daylight savings'. bleh), but a 8 hour time difference would be a problem. I'm hoping for somewhat of a middle ground... A decent amount of servers that have medium capacities. Then again, you know what people say about utopias... heh.

I should think that the number of servers will refect the number of players, as more people play the game the number of servers should go up, otherwise we will end up with overcrowded servers which, those of u who played in the lineage 2 open beta know, isnt great
anythin for a beta key... ANYTHING!!!
Well I always get on the PvP server b/c I like to fight PvP
. So If there were less servers I probably wouldnt mind, just more ppl for me to kill 
. All in all I think that WOW should have 2 servers total(talking about the US here, not the world). The first server being PvP, and the other PvE. This way you get alot more player interactment.

No I'm not in the WOW beta yet, but I am exspecting to be in 7-15 days. And the talk about the servers was in general. I have played alot of mmorpg's, and I always like the PvP, and the large ammount of ppl.
