I used to play Everquest but I know now this is the best i never had nuthing bad to say about it and now I know why its above all I recommend buying this one if you want some magic back in your life.  My worst mistake was buying everquest again but as i always say live and learn.

There are good and bad aspects to all games, but in the end WoW is a good MMORPG. If you are enjoying it, then it was a good decision for you to buy it.

    Have fun

This game is a really good mmorpg but I can't say that it is one of the greatest games of all time as it is addictive in a poor way, time consuming and often to get anything done you hv to rely on others help .... it is a time sink and therefore can't even be in the top 100 games all time ....

it is the greatest mmorpg but meh

Money is the root of all evil.

    Isn't that any game though?

You beat it, and sure you could make a new char and go through it again, but it's the same game?

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

Duh!  It wouldn't have nearly 10 million current and paying subscribers if it didn't rule.  And by the way OP, wrong website to post anything good about WoW.  They love to hate the game here and flame anyone with anything good to say about it.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

I'm glad you found a game you love, OP!  It's always great to see someone find their perfect match :)

wow satisfies the needs of many mmo players, the ones who like the easy levelling, the ease of of crafting, and the repetitive, yet not challenging end game (together with the meaningless tacked-on pvp system). It satisfied me for a while, and coming back the expansion lasted about 2 weeks before i had to put it down through boredom, I had done everything I wanted to in the game and none of it was a challenge. Blizzard dumbed this game down, noone can honestly say any content presents a significant challenge, which is how the masses want it.

Perhaps I am unlike the 9 million people who subscribe (I know many who don't play/havent cancelled subs or multibox) I suspect there are many who wouldn't touch wow out there, It's a reasonably good game, but nothing special in todays market, really it's longevity I find lacking for what I expect from an mmo. I never once felt challenged, and for me that is a huge shortcoming of a game.

I need not add the the community as a whole is poor, really poor - If I have to put 50% of the population on ignore to remove the endless bull**** that gets put out over the public channels, I would rather uninstall.

Well, some of us actually sleep once a day.

In all seriousness, unless you have 9 different classes at 70 and at least one from both the Horde and Alliance, you haven't done everything.  I know of only 1 person who has at least 7 and he just got his 7th there.  It's taken him 3 years and he's played nearly everyday for an average of I'd say about 4 hours a day.  He didn't rush thru the game, but he has done most of the raid content.  1 class to 70 in 2 months might be possible, but then you certainly have not seen everything or done everything and I doubt you could have even done all the raid content on that 1 character in that time.

Yea that's any single player game, but that's not what an MMO is suppose to be like.

From all the MMORPGs, WoW has the biggest G of them all. Now why is everyone so bent on hating the G is beyong me, hating one of the M's would be far more fitting.

Nope, not a clue what you are talking about.  Am I THAT out of touch or does anyone know what he's talking about?

    Um, nevermind...I figured it out.

  • gregoryhgregoryh Member Posts: 4

It is a fairly fun game, but then so are all of them.  The only thing that makes me dislike it is that I died in the middle of nowhere, went back to the middle of nowhere as a ghost, revived in the middle of nowhere, and died again!  I wish I could fly.

Oh and is G the rating?

As others have said, welcome to WoW.  Enjoy it.

    If you get bored...

    ... roll a new toon/class.

... start a toon of the opposing faction on a new server.

    ... change your talents.

    ... get more accounts and multi-box :-)
