I downloaded the free trial to see if this any good and so far Lag issues has just killed any expereince for me.
I should have a good enough computer to play it ( 2.6 P4 , 512 DDR Ram , 128 Radeon ) but for some reason ever 3-4 seconds as im walking for a split second it lags and you can also see this during teleportation as well.
Does anybody know why this happens and what can be done about it. I read somewere about DirectSound affecting the game but dunno what that was about. Any Suggestions?

The graphics engine is advanced in AC2. Your computer is totally fine to run the game so Ill make some suggestions to curb the lag. First, you want to turn off the antialiasing under "Rendering Options", turn off "trilinear filtering", also sync your refresh rate and use optimal refresh rate. Under graphics options, you want to turn off Volumetric shadows, turn off cloud shadows and possibly turn off antistropic filtering. Then you want to turn modeling and textures up higher to compensate for graphics. You have a nice processor, you should get another 512k RAM sim and check out 256Mb GeForce video cards ( http://www.newegg.com ) <------insane deals. Asherons Call 2 is a RAM caching whore. However, at some point after tooling with your graphics options, you will see that the graphics are in fact incredible. Good luck and enjoy.
