All I want is whatever money I can get to help me have a little bit more when I move to Europe. . .

Especially when the dollar keeps declining like this. . . .argh.

That and its f-ing impossible to immigrate there. Seriously though, all the money I am saving up is for basic supplies when I get there. Currency ratio's will mean next to nothing once I have settled in. . .

    I'm thinking Ireland. . .

I pay bills of £3000 a month which is $6000 and converting it over to $, $4000 of that is just my mortgage on just a 4 bedroom house.

    Also, fyi. . .

The British pound is only worth about $2.08, not 2.20. . . it actually does make a difference.

You don't seem to understand. . . once I move there and I get a job I'll be sucked into the same economy as you. For instance, if I DID move to Britain, I'd be earning pounds. It would no longer matter to me that the American dollar is weaker than the British pound. Same can be said for the Euros. . .

My money I am saving now is only to get me settled in. I'm not planning on working over there and being paid in U.S. dollars.

Gameloading -- Yes, from time to time, I do.  Not everything on the list of course, but that's why it's a Christmas List.  It's something we give to our spouse/parents/Santa etc., and they choose something or a couple of things from the list.   We don't buy much for ourselves throughout the year, and save up for birthdays and Christmas.  It makes them more fun.

Everyone else -- This is supposed to be a fun thread.  Please stay on topic, and be realistic (ie: "World Peace").  Some have posted good lists, but most have been rambling on about currency values.....

That's actually a good idea too.  Add what you are planning on getting others.

I'm not sure yet, but last year, I got all the guys in my family airsoft guns. :)  That was alot of fun hehe.  Bought my mom a nice watch, Dad some RAM, and sister a nice art set.  Got the kids Gameboy Micros.  Our kids got lots of toys and learning things.  I got my wife some diamond jewelry and some bath&bodyworks stuff with a robe.  She gave me a customized airsoft gun worth around 1k.

As far as this year, not entirely sure.  Wife wants a saltwater fishtank, new PC desk, some drawing tablet that costs 2.5k lol, new digital camera, and other odds and ends.  Planning on doing the "drawing names" thing this year with the family, so it'll be a bit less expensive on that end.  As for the kids, they all got crazy stuff for their birthdays, so not a whole lot left to give right now.  Just some more learning toys, and fun stuff.  Possibly a PS2 for my 3 year old son, so he'll stop hogging my 360. :)

That put a smile on my face.  I think the only thing I'd like for Christmas is Christmas break. I could use a week or two off from my studies.
